Why did ya kind not believe if Pindad do a lot of work in this stuff ?

Well they did something like signing contract agreement, promote on Twitter and Facebook and the likes machine cutting the sticker, meanwhile the Turk FNSS who doing the bulk dirt jobs like shaping the hull, chose the turret, chose the engine and integrated the system, wiring stuff etc.

What Pindad need to do about Harimau project is think How they can produce parts locally as much as they can. Then Implement them FOR REAL!

With gun imported from Belgia along with the turret (including optics, FCS balistic computing machine) , gyro for turret, engine from USA , alumunium armor most likely from Turkey or USA? AMAP module from Germany or Turkey?, steering wheel system from England or Turkey ? APS system from Turkey, What else is left to be claimed as Karya Anak Bangsa?

I heard a rumour that user (or Pindad?) actually prefer 90 mm, but FNSS reject it because no customer want tank with that kind of caliber these days. which is will make it difficult to market it.

Yeah they did that (the main Contractor suggest that ideas at first because they are in possession of contract to sold 90 LP turret gun). The Army AMX 13 is mostly already using French 105 mm HP gun, it is no brainer for the Army Cavalry corps to put requirement of 90 mm low pressure gun to replace the 105 mm gun armed light Tank they already had.

@Anmdt , do you have any information regarding the Pulat APS especially about whether it will be a standard feature on the Kaplan / Harimau production version? In all honesty, although I'll still be thankful if that's going to be the case, but I'm not a big fan of the Pulat's protruding sections especially since they may affect the tank's maneuverability in tight spaces.

It is studied but i didn't have the glimpse of seeing it on Indonesian variant (not on the tests or not in the IDEF), it is not requested or ordered (from Aselsan) as of now (so far i know). FNSS has prepared it for export.
Also Pulat can be retracted when not in use.

What Mado is saying is this; Here Pindad, as per our co-agreement, take this existing platform developed by us (FNSS) and designed it to the requirement of the local market, and then you can even stick your own sticker on it for distribution in that local/regional market.

"Karya anak bangsa" slogan need to be ditch from SOE it's useless, missleading, corrupt and scamming actually , only developed country and have advanced manufacture industry have ability to create warmachine build from scratch with 100% local component and engineers
