Terrorist doesn't make a good CT forces, the Taliban is wrecked left and right and all they did is blame imaginary foreign actors like the imbecile they are. For the people mocking US intelligence failures in Afghanistan in particular during the last days of the evacuation, this shows just how hard it is to do CT operation which is a very complex operation which has to have good ISR which the Taliban lacks.

Now what the T'ban needs to do is:

1. Humble yourself and let go of hubris
2. Ask for help and guidance from actors who are particularly capable and experienced in CT, *wink NATO
3. Open up for intelligence cooperation
4. Stop making stupid gamble like randomly killing civilians.

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) announced Thursday that it was suspending flights to Afghanistan due to what it described as unworkable conditions imposed by the Taliban.

The airline said conditions had worsened since the Taliban formed a new Afghan government last month and that "PIA and its staff position in Kabul were dealt with very heavy-handedly by the new [Taliban] commanders." PIA said commanders had been "changing regulations and flight permissions at the last moments or deciding at a whim rather than meeting international regulations."

The statement also claimed that PIA's country representative was "held up at gun point for hours when he left the Pakistan embassy compound" on the Taliban's "suspicion of aiding and abetting" people seeking to flee Afghanistan.


PIA also accused Afghanistan's aviation ministry of slashing half the number of passengers from one flight this week that was already in the process of checking in. "This resulted in 176 people, fleeing for their lives, being sent back home by the airline officials, causing nearly half a million-dollar loss to the airline due to higher insurance costs," the airline said.

PIA resumed some charter flights into Kabul on September 13, almost a month after the Taliban swept into the capital and seized control of Afghanistan.

PIA spokesman Abdullah Khan told CNN on Thursday that the decision to resume flying into Kabul "was taken on purely humanitarian grounds, and on the strong insistence of friendly organizations."


Khan said the insurance premium on these flights is "so high" that it is "simply impossible to operate scheduled flights to Kabul, as it is still considered a war zone by aircraft insurance companies."

Khan also said that "it is very frustrating that the regulations keep on changing for each flight and the authorities always confuse charter permissions with schedule permissions."

Khan said PIA would reevaluate its decision to suspend flights "if the situation on ground improves and [becomes] more conducive for international operations."

ANKARA: Turkey said on Thursday it was ready to help the Taliban overcome Afghanistan’s humanitarian crisis, but would not recognise its rule as it hosted the war-scarred country’s new leaders for the first time.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu received his acting counterpart Amir Khan Muttaqi as the movement seeks to gain international legitimacy upon returning to power after two decades of war.
Muttaqi arrived in Turkey following talks with US and European envoys in Doha during which he warned that Western sanctions on the Taliban threatened to further undermine security in Afghanistan.
Cavusoglu supported that message after the closed-door talks in Ankara.
“We have told the international community about the importance of engagement with the current Taliban administration. In fact, recognition and engagement are two different things,” Cavusoglu said.
“The Afghan economy should not collapse. Therefore, we have said the countries that froze Afghanistan’s accounts abroad should act more flexibly so that salaries can be paid.”
The World Bank halted its funding projects in Afghanistan after the Taliban swept back to power in August.
Turkey has sought to use its position as the only Muslim-majority member of the Nato defence alliance to secure a greater role in Afghanistan after the US troop withdrawal.
But its offer to provide security for Kabul’s airport — the main point of access for humanitarian aid — has been rejected by Taliban leaders and the sides made no apparent progress on the issue during their most high-level talk to date.
Cavusoglu said he reaffirmed to Muttaqi that ensuring security at the airport was vital before regular flights could resume.
“Today we explained to them once more the expectations on the issue of security — not only ours but the entire international aviation community — for running the airport and especially the start of regular flights,” he said.
Cavusoglu added that he urged the Taliban to give girls open access to education and allow women to return to their jobs.
“We asked them not to see this as a precondition or a demand, but that this is also the expectation of the other Muslim countries,” he said.
Muttaqi issued no immediate comments after the talks.

use your critical thinking for a second, the Taliban WILL always somehow manage to capture "suspected" ISKP operatives in mere hours, but could not prevent the daily killings and bombings that ISKP manage , even high profile ones like the Kabul bombings.

I was telling my friend the other day that the attacks were CIA backed or other foreign intelligence elements and the only way in busting them is to put camera's infront of mosques they have a certain pattern but they take IEA for being dumb that is where they are massively mistaken.

They did the same thing in Iraq with blackwater creating chaos targetting marketplaces, mosques, buses etc etc to make the public hate the resistance. This will not fly with Taliban or in Afghanistan it is more tribal and people are more up tight close to each other meaning wrongdoers will be found out immediately and the secret will be leaked just like how IEA found out these elements are being paid 500Afs etc etc Just like I said this is foreign elements involvement this is not ISIS or in fact ISIS itself is none-existent but it is a foreign intelligence agency..

ISIS is a myth but the reality is that ISIS = Foreign intelligence agency whatever undertaking they are doing has no benefits to them or to any afghan? THis is the easiest give away on this elements they go against logic or self-interests. I have never seen more self-sabotaging element than them. If you can't figure them out you have a low-IQ because they are there to be seen..

Why did they target the Americans days before there departure in the airport? What was the goal behind it? The goal was to make them remain and why would ISIS want them to remain? This goes against logic and this group doesn't work with logic meaning this is a foreign intelligence agency masking itself as a militant group.

Hence ISIS doesn't actully exist in reality but it is foreign intelligence agency operatives the remaining is just a myth.

If you were to use real detective work on all there crime scenes you would realize that it is someone else entirely than what it wants to give itself out to be

The Taliban could not engage NATO in a large scale battle, so they used bombings and IED to create chaos in the then Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

Taliban main goal is to cause total instability and bring chaos to an already extremely poor nation. They have absolutely no sympathy.

This was ever happened. US helped Taliban fought against ISIS mainly in Kunar [1] which ANA were fought against ISIS in Nangarhar. And if I'm remember correctly, Russia were also helped Taliban fought against ISIS in Jawzan which many ISIS there were surrendered to then Afghan Govt for safety.

Add : Something interesting from how US helped Taliban back then,

"But inside JSOC, the team working on this mission is jokingly known as the “Taliban Air Force,” one task force member told me. As negotiators closed in on their deal in Doha, officers repurposed tools honed against the Taliban: Reaper drones and an intelligence complex with nearly two decades of practice spying on Afghan guerrillas. Unwilling to communicate directly with Taliban commanders, the task force worked to divine where and how its old foes needed help by listening to their communications."
