thanks @Cabatli_53 . I personally think that we will see 5 gen single engine fighter in 2030+ or a joint develop between TAI and baykar for 6 gen single engine unmanned fighter that is unlike the current MUIS .

yet I don't understand if it's really hard to have indigenous engine in 2029 . I understand it's hard to do such but it's it really impossible to do it in 8 years even a prototype ?

TF141 turbofan engine for TfX. (35000lb)

"According to unconfirmed information
that I obtained from our sources Turkey (TR Motor Power Systems) will soon
sign a contract with Ivchenko Progress from Ukraine for cooperation in the development of 35.000lb class turbofan engine (dubbed TF-141) to power TF-X aircraft."

On February 14, 2021 TR Motor Power Systems secured a contract from TUSAŞ for the design, development and manufacture (with technical support from Ivchenko Progress from Ukraine) of the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) and Air Turbine Start System (ATSS) to be installed on MMU/TF-X aircraft.

The TurAF will gain Initial Operational Capability (IOC) with Block-I MMU/TF-X in 2031. According to TUSAŞ, deliveries of first batch of 20 MMU/TF-X will be completed in 2034.

Turns out that we can expect our MIUS family and our Hürjet family to flourish before we can ride our MMU.

I think we will probably see the prototype engine in the TF-X by IOC, but the TSK is de-risking the development program by having the GE engine as a low risk option in case the Turkish engine is delayed.

But giving the fact that it take china ~30 year to mature a jet ..turkish schedule looks doubtful

Exactly designing and modeling nowadays of complex aircraft with simulation models is so much easier and faster (not that it is easy but todays computational power makes the design process of jets go faster with less teetering problems)

Apparently i forget to explain that i am talking about jet engines

Also with Jet engines Computers are the key factor it can be faster. Our TEI has tremendous experience and adding the experience of Ivchenko things could go faster (not that I am an expert on engines but as electronics engineer I do know the design power of CAD software)

This is not in line with what Temel Kotil was preaching; First block of 4+ Genelation TFX being delivered in 2028-29 and having two planes per month production speed!
According to this timeline we will have to wait 14 years before we have a squadron of operational TFX, and the production rate is 1 plane every 1.5 months.

Because that is the airforce plan and requirement. Any later than those dates and TAI will be responsible for delaying the project. Kotil basically says TAI will perform better.

Very true! Most parameters of an engine and it’s related data is stored in computers and it is easier to work from a known template upwards or downwards in terms of power output, thrust etc.
TEI would have most of this information in it’s database for f110. It wouldn’t be too difficult to design an engine of similar power output.
I don’t understand the need for working with Ivchenko Progress when we have our own design bureau like it in the form of TR Motor. Especially when you consider the fact that ever since the collapse of Soviets, Ivchenko Progress has not designed a working engine. Besides if the work is given to TEI, they are more than capable to design and produce an engine like the one TR Motor is envisaging as the engine in question is so much like a f110ge132 or f110ge129EFE with 34000lbf thrust.

OK I can understand that line of reasoning. But don’t you think that, considering the long timescale in question, it is a rather laid back way of giving deadlines to TAI? In a way isn’t it letting them take their time?

That is the plan. TAF always does that. The requirement for Gökdoğan was 60km range. Gökdoğan has a longer range.
