Mahmut Akşit was talking about discussions with GE regarding producing both f404 and f110 engines at TEI.
So it looks like the prototypes are going to be with GE engines.
But when you look at how KAI T50 is being offered to potential customers with EJ200 or F414 engines, it is logical that another engine that can fit in to the plane, with a bit of re-designing, can be considered. KlimovRD93 can be a candidate for Hurjet.
AL31 or AL41 series engines are rather big compared to f110. Hence substantial alterations may be needed. So I can’t really see an engine that can be an alternative For TFX.

A fighter is designed around an engine. It's not really an plug and play with different engine types.
If one wants with different engine, then there is whole lot of development involved. From inlets design, engine related hardware changes to FCS software.

True! So you should ask the question to KAI how they manage to offer T50 trainer/light attack craft with 3 different engines; F404, f414, EJ200.
With today’s computers most of the design parameters are already in there. With certain amount of redesigning it is possible to utilise an engine that is close to the original one the plane was supposed to fly with. Overall measurements and general design of plane will definitely change.
If you look at Indian Hal-Tejas, initial engine was F404-GE-F2J3. Then they used more powerful F404-IN20 engine. Finally they went for the even more powerful F414INS6 engine. Now the last I heard, they were talking about redesigning the plane for 2 x F414 engines. At one point RR were offering their EJ200-TVC engine for Tejas.
So it is possible to use different engines, albeit the design parameters needing major overhaul.

F 404 is quite similar with F 414 so it is not a problem to do some switch, while EJ 200 is quite similar like F 404 and F414, but of course there will be some redesign if the switch is between EJ 200 and F 404/414. I doubt T 50 Golden Eagle can be switched into EJ 200 by using current design though

The KaI offered it to whom? To KAF? They might have offered during development phase, but once an product is developed its set in stone.

Tejas was designed initially with Kaveri Engine at its core. Since the engine got delayed the dev team had to proceed with the GE 404 variants. And it took redesign efforts and the delay. It doesn't matter if it's the variant of the same engine, the design need not to be varied much.
But if it's a different engine, valve inlets, control boards, FCS etc has to be modified from scratch.

According to media news, As well as various f404 variants being used in the development stage, Mk-2 version due to be introduced in 2026 is going to have f414 engine.
Yes it needs a lot of redesigning. We all know that!

Mr Kotil: "In our company in Pakistan, we have 100 bright Pakistani engineers working for us. We give them some work from our projects and make them do it. 34 Pakistani qualified BAE system engineers, who are British citizens, also work for TAI. We will also open an office in Malaysia."

I am sure that the antenna Kotil speaked about it is for DAS kind system. You don't need a helmet what you have in a F35 if you don't have a DAS, our TFX will be a real state of the art fighter.

Mr Kotil: "We've recruited some of LockheedMart's experienced engineers who had to be fired due to the pandemic."
How this can happen ?!
This is steath aircraft that will protect national security not TV and Washing machine .
Is the USA stupid that keep secret entire aircraft existence for years like BLACKBIRD Sr71 , U2 , B2 Spirit ?!
What the hell meaning taking others countries engeeners , how will Turkey make sure those will not spy for others?!
