Why sad u guys ??It is radar..
Well from my info about indian AMCA ,they are going for EOTS , DAS and in addition to that some passive antenna and maybe a few aesa panel across body .
So can't these radar be in addition to DAS ??
Why sad u guys ??It is radar..
When he talks about the demo in lockheed martin he talks about this video which is not about a radar but DAS. So i think he just wanted to simply things for tha audience and called it a radar. It is radar..
When I first wrote on this forum that lot of technology are harder to achieve and not everything will come out of thin air , some fanboys got hurt ,but now everyone can see , hurjet is in assembly and they released picture ,unlike someone said that they will showcase the prototype directly .
Also some thought that they can do it in low funding ,but 1billion isn't low by any means for fighter trainer . That's normal like any other project .
Also timelines have matured ,fully composite wings are being developed now for tfx , that means hurjet don't have fully composite wings .
Things are going in forward direction ,but speed is normal , no miracle is happening as expected .
Good to see some members understand this
No camera allowed (for outsiders ) .We won't see TFX till they roll it out, Temel Kotil said it himself - no cameras allowed where TFX is being assembled.

Dude when they reach anywhere near assembly they will release pictures themselves
So that means mr kotil (or whatever his name is ) will say that the project photos won't be released inbetween the process , quite different approach towards pr for a country which do lot of publicity for even tb 2 like droneOkay, you go learn Turkish and watch the Interview.
That engine displayed is a 4000lbf thrust level engine. It is quite heavy for what it is (560kg dry. Western engines are around 450kg). Also just too weak to power TFX. We need two 30000+ lbf level engines for TFX. (More like 35000lbf in final form). Two of them put together can’t even power Hurjet.
Probably belongs in propulsion, but it seems that motorsich engine displayed in SAHA expo is one of the candidates for TFX
Mr. Kotil is such a nice guy. He is incredibly passionate at what he does. I'm glad we have someone like him leading Turkish Aerospace. You folks should meet him in person one day.I am really happy.
USA will definitly put obstacles for the engines if not now then later .. esp for hurjet an ukrainian engine version should be considered .. usa will aim to hinder its sales in order to damage the turkish industry repetition and cause an economic damage .. like what they did with atakThe parts produced in the Hürjet project are being assembled at present. In TF-X, the part production phase was started. I guess TFX will go to the assembly stage in 3-4 months. Until domestic engines are produced, Hürjet and TFX will fly with the F404 and F110 engines and the US finally gave permission. I do not know whether a domestic engine will be developed for Hürjet but TFX will definitely get its domestic 35000lb class engines in the 2030s. From now on, there are no obstacles to the production of these planes. There is very little time left before the Turkish supersonic aircrafts will be shown.
In this process, I think that foreign countries will show great interest in these aircrafts and will hold talks for part production. With the demonstration and roll-out of these aircrafts, Turkey will be at the center of interest for many countries in the world and the Turkish technology and industry power perception created with state of art drones will be reinforced with these complex aircrafts.
Welcome to the giants league, my beautiful and honorable country.
I'm very optimistic about the projects but there's still lots that can go wrong and cause some delays. We shouldn't count our chicken before they hatch, imho. The parts produced in the Hürjet project are being assembled at present. In TF-X, the part production phase was started.
