Eventually we'll get there. But right now people are comparing planes again ffs. Stop doing that.

You can get the latest Iphone or buy Vestels smart phone (any model). Which is better ? Which is more reliable ? which smart phone do you guys have ?

Why didn't you buy a Vestel Smart phone ? is there a domestic laptop, tablet product... why didn't you buy that but went with Samsung, Lenovo, macbook, HP ?

We will eventually get there. even if MMU/TF-X was a 4th gen. It would still be a priceless accomplishment.

That is why we're saying Hurjet is the single most important accomplishment to be delivered! It's the proof.

The geometry will be fifth gen. The engine's stealth character is questionable. And I have read no info about ram coatings so far. TFX will be better than Rafale or Typhoon. But it's too early for it to be compared with other fifth-gen fighters.
Google it.

Kedi ulaşamadığı ete mundar dermiş mindset stop saying F35 is bad lol It was a good jet when Us was selling it to us have a proper stance reality is not kids play f35 is still better than MMU
MMU is better for us and will be better for us in long term, at least it is a platform that we are going to use at full capacity and upgrading as we like in 2030s with the newest tech, instead of appointing at US to upgrade F-35s for us as far as they allow.

Could we even integrate Gokhan BVR to F-35, or uplink F-35 with drones like MIUS / Aksungur / AEW aircrafts as we will to coordinate deep strike attacks? Could we integrate Kement or national SATCOM to the F-35?

I like F-35 too, but it is not hard to see beyond this point regardless of who is in power in Turkey, US will not allow Turkey to have advanced capabilities and due to the secrecy they will keep F-35 entirely in their own ecosystem.

It wouldnt be bad if we had a few batches of F-35 and continued part production to keep the industry live and pilots trained with 5th gen capabilities.

But we need something to fill the gap till TF-X reaches full maturity.

Same has been said for F16 as well just be realistic.

Im a supporter of MMU but Just saying It won't be good as F35 tbh design is very good against 4.5 gen fighters this makes MMU a 4.7 jet without stealth engines
Nonono MMU is a 4.92 Generation fighter.

If the MMU is not 5th Gen. because quote „no stealth engines“ means that the F35 is also not 5th Gen because it can‘t „supercruise“ which is one of the key feature of 5th Gen besides advanced avionics and „stealth“.

regarding this point and putting into account how much the turkish defense research and industry has evolved , I think that the tf-x will be more to 6th gen than a 5th gen fighter . the design and technology of the tf-x in 2030 will be much different than the current year 2021. for example , 2030 aselsan AESA GaN radar will be much different than the coming 2022 AESA GaN module .

the same goes to tf-2000 project specially the tech side of it ( not the hull )

By 2030 we may even see a laser weapon system on-board.

I am 110% sure that the features of the NGAD will have alot of similiarity to the TFX and 2nd Su-57 variant, the only thing different and better would be the NGAD operating with a 3 stream cycle engine and thats about it. Its just better to label something as 6th gen just to make it sell.

Just to add:
All these could have been done if we had the F35s , like we were having the SOM-J integration. But for each, we will have had to pay soooo much money. And we would have had to send them to LM to integrate it. And they would know all the ins and outs about these missiles etc and how to counter them.
What ever we put on TFX is a closed unknown box.

Basically I could agree with you, there is only a big but......

Do you really believe the US is selling her "partners" the same stuff (F35) as for her own air force? No tweaking, no restrictions, no software left out? That renders the same aircraft less capable.

Tell plainly do you believe an F35 for the US is exactly the same as an F35 they'd supply to Turkey?

I invite all our members to make constructive, informative and useful posts. I recommend you to pay more attention to your posts, especially on the topics of this type of strategic projects that will open new horizons for Turkiye. Avoid simple generalizations and unwarranted assumptions. The only criteria we will base on in these matters will be the statements of the company officials and the final target of the project.

Thanks

Somebody else's fighter is only good for somebody else and not for us. Paying for it does not make it our fighter, it will still fight for somebody else. The gains laid out on the path towards MMU is a thousand times more useful for us than even an F35 gifted to us at no cost.

One states that our nonexistent jet is better than f-35 on the other hand even SSB president says otherwise!!
Even the engine our nonexistent fighter will use has not stealth features !! But some declare it superior to f-35!!
It seems our country really turned into Iran!! Iranian mollahs also says same statements!!
Your younger generation and engineers are leaving country but some still believe that our fighter will be better than f-35!!
Be thankful if the TFX ever flies in near future forget about comparing to f-35!!

How is your statement related with argument??
The issue is whether f-35 is better than TFX , a non existent jet, or not!! We are not stating which one is better for ou country!!
