Funny how the Turks are striving to build themselves a defence industry while only thing I see Greeks doing is either laughing, calling us brainwashed or seething about it.

You can buy all the weapons you want there will always be a limit.

Remember this saying never put your interests or the defence of your nation to another nation.
I hope they will buy as much as they can. So their lost will be at a max level with causalities. And the end they will lost everything. Land. Money. People.

Korean engine operated with German transmission.
This means that a new Turkish one must be produced or another box must be found, that has as result that there must be structural changes.

The Korean engine will be integrated into the Altay tank along with the Korean transmission and the Korean option is chosen because it is almost a modification-free solution and does not suffer from blockage of 3rd party countries. The Korean power pack will ensure that Altay remains operational until Turkey's 1500 hp BATU power pack is ready. The domestic power pack will be in the field over the Altays until 2024 and will go into mass production after the tests. As you can see, there is nothing failed in the Altay project.

Yeah but does it have hybrid drive, does it have to roar when it should whisper?
At least some of them should have such a feature.

Otokar made a tank that did not have en engine, BMC is making a tank that does have an engine. It is a huge jump from no tank to yes tank. Thank you MBC.

Fuckin BMC, has not added 1 inch to the project since Otokar has finished it.

The Turkish Arjun tank
Mate how will they add something new when they just finally got the tech to mass produce them 2 to 3 weeks ago, according to Hulusi Akar?
Like they just learned how to produce it. Took them around 3 to 5 years though
I would be satisfied if they started the mass production in time and doesnt announce any more fq ups or time delays and postpone the serial production again

Anymore and that would be it! Like just take it away from BMC and give it to a bloody monkey and he will produce it

Tank is produced by the former military factory, what input does BMC provide exactly? Nothing

Then would it not be better to give the project to someone who can finish it quicker instead of needing 5 years to learn how to do it?

You really need to read the previous posts related to the Altay tank and theories on why it was given to BMC

Very good news. Mass production must start so quik as possible.

All the parts of the tank that are locally produced will benefit the domestic economy and every tank will create a hell of jobs.

A national tank (if it succeed) has almost a economy of his own, because there a so much different parts produced by different actors. It means money and jobs and more consumption.

A nation with a national tank is never doomed to fail in militairy way or economics (Israel, UK, USA, Russia, France, Germany, Korea).

Ok forget
Does Otokar have an agreement with the Germans? we don't know?

OK let's forget Altay, pretend all of that is to blame on the Germans.

What about the Leopard 2A4 upgrades that BMC was supposed to deliver. Blame the Germans?

Not like BMC did nothing. They destroyed one perfectly good Leo2a4 while trying to install Altay turret for upgrade.

Well it is good news that the production seems to have begun. Remember they were suppose to build Altay with the existing power packs we had secured. Before it all went bad.

If there is an update on when the first Altay with SK engine is going to be delivered that would be worth something looking to.
