Looks like at best Russians will be able to control the border regions. And then take Kyiv and Kharkiv for leverage to oust the Ukrainian government and install a puppet regime a la Belarus. But if this goes wrong for Putin (in which case Putin is gone) , I wonder if a WW3/nuclear war is upon our hands. Putin might decide that all possible sanctions have been imposed and there is nothing to lose anymore. And that can mean only one thing - deployment of tactical nukes, diversion of EU energy supply, cyber attacks all over the US and EU, space assets deterioration of NATO , and other low cost actions by Russia to cripple the EU and NATO. You can never tell how wars go and this looks it is headed to a broader theater than just Ukraine, unless one party gains overwhelming superiority.
