Russians are claiming this is an Ukrainian soldier killed during an attempted landing on Snake Island... problem he seems to wear a Russian navy belt ? This level of desperation ?

Russian separatist military leader comments on recent performance of Russian forces. FSB will be serving him tea soon:

Clearly the Russian leadership has gone absolutely mad. The general theme of this war has been, disaster after disaster but to keep claiming everything is going to plan.

I can understand the common person falling for the propaganda, but you wouldn't think the leadership would also be under its spell.

This madness is how many great nations historically have destroyed themselves.

This cannot be compared with the war in Ukraine by many factors.
It's not a secret that every US adversary from China to Russia wants to immitate what the US did in Desert Storm. Russia fails in Ukraine trying to do such repeat. It remains to be seen how China will fare in Taiwan.

Just saying but Taiwan and Ukraine are completely different

It is a 100 times easier for China to invade and take Taiwan than for Russia to take Ukraine
The difference is just way toooo big; from land size, manpower, commitment, money, politics etc...

clearly not, because I point out the ability for the APG-81 to track objects while you dismissed the whole thing as DAS (only) tracking. You could see the whole tracking in this video

and on 1:53 you could see a consistent APG-81 track while DAS momentarily tracked the debris.

The thing with Billie Flynn interview is that we don't know the rules of engagement (RoE) of said exercise, he said that he detected the enemy at 200 miles= 321km away, but we don't and prolly wont know if that's the max detection range because ALL exercise are all rigged. This is like saying the Indian air force >>>> USAF because the Indian air force reportedly knocked the USAF in 2004.

But we don't know what kind of limitations imposed on the US pilots in those exercise, we don't know when they could turn on their radar , the scenario in which they operate or even the size of the airspace used in the exercise.

Billie Flynn said he detect object at 200 miles, but he didn't say what object he detects or if its the maximum possible track an APG-81 could do.

Radars spec especially sophisticated ones like the APG-81 are closely guarded secret, the military won't tell its true performance, manufacturers only gives you general idea of the performance and professional aviator like Billie Flynn CERTAINLY won't blow the entire thing by mentioning the real radar capability in a YouTube interview.
holy cope talk about trying to backtrack so hard that you have to go post a video that does not talk about the radar's range other than my source coming from a pilot lol. I said only the infrared side can go 1,300 or 1,200kms but that is for rockets and not aircrafts. Your right i dont know the ap-81s capabilities but I do know what information was posted.

also back to photonic radars

Italy had no luck, however Australia made a breakthrough but the thing is reports of a functional Russian photonic radar date back 2014-2015, they better start producing those circuits the race is still on.

Actually I said 2000+ MBT + AFV/IFV, and that's a visually confirmed one based on Oryxspioenkop data.

Russian latest losses

Tanks 671

Armoured Fighting Vehicles 365

Infantry Fighting Vehicles 721

Armoured Personnel Carriers 108

Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) Vehicles 26

Infantry Mobility Vehicles 109

Command Posts And Communications Stations 74

Engineering Vehicles And Equipment 141,

Self-Propelled Anti-Tank Missile Systems 14

Self-Propelled Artillery 113

Self-Propelled Anti-Aircraft Guns 15

Grand total = 2357 armored fighting vehicles lost off all type and size.

Russia started this war with ~190K troops, 1/3 might have been destroyed....mobilizations not an option for Putin and it would not help him btw.

Ukraine are on its way to reach a million men in arms right now.

I would have believed this if not for the fact that Russia is now nowhere to be seen in Kyiv, Sumy, Chernihiv and Kharkiv
not even CNN propaganda matches those numbers ghost of kyiv is really real I guess https://edition.cnn.com/europe/live...s-05-01-22/h_9c8808827bce42c5e27deca12af8f1ef even oryx is pulling 401 T-72s and 127 T-80s https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/T-80 so either him or ukraine is bullshitting which is no surprise you have not answered if the ghost of kyiv was real.

MOSCOW, May 10. /TASS/. Russian forces have eliminated 163 Ukrainian combat aircraft, 124 helicopters, 793 unmanned aerial vehicles and 2,979 tanks and other armored vehicles since the start of their special military operation in Ukraine, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Major-General Igor Konashenkov said on Tuesday.

"Overall, the following targets have been destroyed since the beginning of the special military operation: 163 aircraft, 124 helicopters, 793 unmanned aerial vehicles, 300 surface-to-air missile systems, 2,979 tanks and other combat armored vehicles, 351 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,440 field artillery guns and mortars and 2,789 special military motor vehicles," the spokesman said.

Correct, the only information we've got is he tracked an object at ~200 miles. Does he meant that is the maximum track range of the APG-81 ? No way to tell.....

otoh... This shows APG-81 and DAS tracking at almost the same time. Reportedly at the time of testing, the range is around 1300km.

Is Northrop bullshitting here ??

hehe, first of all we're talking about SAR capabilities, not air-air tracking capabilities LOL. in which the IRBIS reportedly able to give a resolution of around 3m at a range we don't know and the APG-70 also with a resolution of around 2.6m also at a range we don't know.

So until we know the specific spec on both, there's no way we could say which one is the better one.

in post #12,748 yo mention this:

safe to say you're mixing the air-air detection data with the SAR resolution....lol

and how do you come to this conclusion ? For China to succeed they MUST occupy Taiwan, something they would have to do in the space of only 2 months every year. For an amphib assault to succeed the Chinese must land during high tide and Taiwan KNOWS what time is that exactly to the weeks. There would be no surprise attack here.

China could theoratically bomb Taiwan to dust, but if they can't occupy Taiwan, Taiwan wins

hehe, first of all we're talking about SAR capabilities, not air-air tracking capabilities LOL. in which the IRBIS reportedly able to give a resolution of around 3m^2 at a range we don't know and the APG-70 also with a resolution of around 2.6m^2 also at a range we don't know.

Funny how he is using ghost of kyiv argument while @Oryx has given pictures and confirmation about every MBT or IFV got destroyed Russians are so pathetic they can't just accept they are losing stuff and desperate enough to COPE here.
