… I say it is simply absurd to claim that the decleration is a spark for a full scale invasion, for the stress is on the “international law” and “self-determination”…
Your "mini" excerpt doesn't really help your case - since it doesn't show the content and "most important" clauses.
Several following up treaties were signed by Ukraine and Russia

MAINTENANCE OF INTERNATIONAL SECURITY
Letter dated 6 June 1997 from the Permanent Representatives of
the Russian Federation and the Ukraine to the United Nations
addressed to the Secretary-General
And try to pay special attention to Article 6.

Article 6.
Each High Contracting Party shall refrain from participating in, or supporting, any actions directed against the other High Contracting Party, and shall not conclude any treaties with third countries against the other Party. Neither Party shall allow its territory to be used to the detriment of the security of the other Party

Ukraine broke this treaty in 2006 by amending it's political manifest - declaring it's intention to access membership towards the EU and NATO
This was cancelled by Ukraine in 2010 and re-instituted in 2014 - leading to Putin's occupation of the Crimea and supporting the independence movements by e.g. Donbass Republic.
Due to non-conclusive diplomatic attempts on ALL sides, Putin decided on February 2022 to attack and occupy Ukraine.

It is and was absolutely clear that Russia would NEVER permit any of the CIS members (incl. Ukraine) to join NATO.

Today's territory of Ukraine has absolutely no historic foundation - not even if one wants to go all the way back to the Kievien Rus Federation. It simply took the borders of the Soviet-Republic of Ukraine (willfully designed by the Soviet Union) into possession via declaring independence ca. 6 month before the Alma-Alta-declaration.
In order to validate and to respect these borders amongst each other - Russia, Belarus and Ukraine founded CIS via the Alma-Ata-declaration that very well beholds the Article 6 and even clauses to command a joint military (independent of the nuclear weapon possession issue).

There would have been nothing if Ukraine had fulfilled the Minsk agreements, according to them Donbass remained in Ukraine, everything would have ended long ago
i don't quite agree - Putin was and is clearly out to resurrect the former czarist Russia - since he came to power (and even before)
After 2014 Putin knew that he can't stop NATO moving into Ukraine. So he took advantage of Ukraine breaking the Alma-Alta-declaration and the following up treaties to make a 'justifiable" case for himself and Russia.

Do not limit your view with a Russian take on an old classic (some refer to as propaganda!)…

“Since the collapse of the Soviet Union in December 1991, world attention has focused on the future of the new independent states (NIS) in Central and Eastern Europe. Ukraine has been of particular importance because, becoming an independent state, it has completely changed the geopolitics of Eastern Europe. Ukraine's independence pushed Russian borders 500 miles to the east and limited Russia's access to the Black Sea. Since 1991, Ukraine and Russia were unable to sign a Friendship Treaty recognizing each others borders. The signing of this treaty has appeared imminent since 1993, but was always delayed--most recently in October 1996. A series of contentious issues emerged which cast doubt not only on Ukraine's stability and future existence, but also on Russia's. All the post-Soviet Union arrangements were in question. After almost six years of negotiations, insult, and conflict, Russian President Boris Yeltsin and Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchina signed the treaty on 31 May 1997. In the end, it was NATO enlargement that forced Russia to sign the treaty and to recognize Ukraine as an independent state. This is a study of the difficult process and the issues that arose during negotiations…”

What point are you trying to make? since your post verifies my statement - and Ukraine broke that SIGNED treaty and all the others BEFORE 2014.

Have you read the paper? Russia’s aggression is hardly fueled by Ukraine‘s international stand, or policies, nor commitments, but in fact Russia’s own motivation, to attain a pre-1991 status-quo, led by a strong Federation…

We are turning in circles - sorry
Russia will not accept Ukraine to be a NATO member, neither will they accept e.g. Belarus to be one.
Either Ukraine via peaceful means (diplomacy) retracts it's "desire" to join NATO or there will be a war. (Ukraine chose not to do so). so it's war.
Ukraine via breaking all treaties gave Putin the "justifiable" reason to attack Ukraine and to renounce it's territorial integrity - totally independent of what, you, me, NATO or whoever will say or believe.
And it is clear that even if Russia should prevail against Ukraine and NATO support - that Putin will continue to peruse his vision of no NATO on behalf of any CIS members territory.

So if one want's to tease the bear - one better gets ready to face the consequences (war) accordingly, and not begging to be attacked and then crying around for help.
Ukraine and NATO had plenty of time since 2014 to prepare accordingly for such a scenario - since it was absolutely obvious to happen if Ukraine continued it's path to NATO membership. - that all there is to say IMO.

So Ukraine was suppose to be vassal country (accorting to rushists) or else ....
Yeah, for that reason Russia needs to be put on its place. It was a superpower for some 30 years (1950-1980) but that times has gone long time ago.

By the way, in the upcoming week we are expecting to sign a deal for K2 tanks, and some 300 M1A1 tanks will show up in our country (for us propably only temporarily, I wonder what is their final destination ;) ) for our 230 PT91 that will go to Ukraine ASAP.

Ukraine was a founding member and associate in the Russian commonwealth (CIS)
That Putin would not just have made them a vassal but an integrated part of Russia is understood
.... It was a superpower ....
What defines a Superpower? basically the amount of nukes it has. In that sense Russia still is a superpower. like it or not ;)
.... some 300 M1A1 tanks in our country (not ours) for our 230 PT91 to go to Ukraine.
That is good news for Zelensky

Reminds me of Vietnam: US forces deploying 50t of aircraft bombs, 10t of artillery grenades and 50,000 small caliber ammo towards 2 suspected VC's.
Lesson: don't hesitate to employ excessive usage of ammo to avoid own human losses. ;)
This is failed WW1 tactics. Very long artillery softening allows the defending side to bring reinforcements and stop offensive. Thats why in WW2 artillery softening was much shorter in some cases even attacked without artillery softening for better surprise effect.

Finnish be-atch starts crying about muh NATO at 42:46.
Best case scenario, it'll be years before they're allowed into NATO.
