There may be some misunderstanding here as he may have meant that it is in the pipeline and not on the assembly line. This case only puts the arrival of it somewhat further away than being impending.
We have a defense industry and project load that can destroy enemy without firing a single bullet but If Turkiye is forced to use full scale forces to a brain-dead spoiled enemy one day, the war will be over in terms of equipment, probably within less than 1 week due to using disproportionate force that World hasn't ever seen yet.
I am fully behind your wish but would like to emhasize the quantity dimension as well. Just recall the order for 200 Cakir.
Also means, TISU might differ from MIUS thus indicating that it should be a strategic bomber, instead of a fighter. Something like F-117 / B2 with stealthiness being the priority compared to maneuverability , something to infiltrate and deliver guided munitions deep into enemy's territory. These two bits of information indicate that both MIUS and TISU are part of the same program in line with the SSB's UAV roadmap.
It was such in the past and since then TAI has improved benefits remarkably also a law or regulation has passed to stop private companies from headhunting workers from foundation owned companies. Recently it is vice-versa, i heard recruitment of Baykar was slightly disappointed that top graduates are preferring TAI over them. This is an important detail because, especially this year, a significant number of people in defense circles argued that the TAI UAV division was being deliberately destroyed in order to advance Baykar Tech. However, the fact that TAI has started to make a major breakthrough in UAV exports, as well as the emergence of 3-4 new UAV systems - one of which is the TISU - in a wide range of segments, has completely disproved these arguments.

That was just for akinci ucavs and was an idle talk. Do not take it serious.I am fully behind your wish but would like to emhasize the quantity dimension as well. Just recall the order for 200 Cakir.
I hope we'll hear something about a proper testing aircraft.
We are expecting an announcement on the national AESA radar soon. There were statements that AKINCI's nose radar tests would start in the last quarter of 2022. It is almost certain that another variant of this radar will also be integrated into F-16 Block 30TMs.
There is a very busy schedule for the integration of many new systems, both on the avionics and ammunition side. The AESA radar is an important step forward, but there are many other exciting surprises.I hope we'll hear something about a proper testing aircraft.

The aircraft's total power output and lift capacity will also continue to increase. Within 2-3 years, the AKINCI system will become a more capable and flexible platform than its US counterparts. Moreover, it will offer opportunities that no Western manufacturer can compete with, not only in terms of system design, but also in terms of initial acquisition and flight costs.
I have carefully listened the interview, not willing to kill the vibe but Mr. Demir says "hatta - on line", not mentioning "production" work there. It could be indicating that, it is planned or in design stage. However, he had paused there when he was about to tell something further, that may also indicate it is either completed or soon to completed.Tusaş unmanned fighter jet is under the production
