Was about to post it :)

Great news. Much greater than Pinaka export. Cos even though Indian army has finished evaluation of atleast one of Kalyani products, the final order is still being awaited by CCS.
And here they have a product which has cleared the foreign country’s testing requirements even before it has compeleted Indian armed forces testing. Their product, research and testing regimen has matured.

The pinaka system on the other hand has been in production for nearly 2 decades.
IA wants ATAGS to clear inter-galactic trials which is totally justifiable in this day and age...only a noob army would induct a weapons platform without clearing some sort of space trials

Many of the earlier exports are found in the RnD archive and similar threads:

Please compile here going forward but continue cross-posting in the earlier ones as you prefer to as well.

In an unprecedented breakthrough in indigenous weapons systems exports, Pune-based Bharat Forge announced on Wednesday that Kalyani Strategic Systems – a wholly owned subsidiary – “has been awarded an export order for a 155-millimetre (mm) artillery gun platform to be executed over a three-year time frame”

"We are pleased to inform that Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Company, has been awarded an export order for a 155mm Artillery Gun platform to be executed over a 3-year timeframe. The total value of the order is USD 155.50 million," the company said in a statement.

"This order, to a non-conflict zone, is a great testament to the Indian government's Aatmanirbhar Bharat agenda and its sustained push to promote exports of Indigenously Designed Developed and Manufactured (IDDM) advanced defense platforms from India," it said.

Kalyani is one of the major investors in the defense sector and has been offering a number of weapon systems to India as well as foreign countries.

The company has been working with Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to develop the advanced tower artillery gun system (ATAGS) and has also developed an ultra-light howitzer.

The Prime Minister has also urged the defence industry to develop its products for the global market and achieve USD 5 billion targets by 2025

The exact model ordered isn't specified but here's a lineup of Kalyani's artillery systems

Army to get more M4 armoured vehicles, with Spike missiles

“This order, to a non-conflict zone, is a great testament to the Government of India’s AatmaNirbhar Bharat agenda and its sustained push to promote exports of Indigenously Designed Developed and Manufactured (IDDM) advanced defence platforms from India,” the statement added.

Bharat Forge which has diversified heavily into defence manufacturing in the last few years, has developed a range of products including a range of artillery guns. While it has sold 60 of its Kalyani-M4 armoured vehicles to the Indian Army with 30 more on order, it is yet to get a domestic order for its artillery guns.

At the recent DefExpo in Gujarat, there was lot of interest in the artillery guns from South East Asia and Africa. Company officials said at the Expo that they have secured export orders for the Kalyani-M4 vehicles

I think you go back to earth, yesterday's enemies are today's partners. It is very possible that the same things will happen in the future, the world is in constant change. When the enemy comes to their door, they even become brothers.

If India and Pakistan can enter the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, they can also enter into other relations.

You overestimate politics. Extremists may be ruling countries now, but with a new politician or policy, everything can change.

No offense, but I suggest you read basics of 'political theories and international relations.'

Idealist world view Iike yours is not taken very seriously in contemporary political thought, which is dominated by REALPOLITIK.

REALPOLITIK? In your opinion, India, China and Pakistan should be at war right now.

But the war is between Russia and Ukraine. According to Realpolitik, this should not have happened.

We are talking. Indian Turkish defence relationship were ready to take off till Ummah President Mr. Erdogan started to repeatedly make unwarranted comments on Kashmir issue on which Turkey has no locus standi whatsoever. We haven’t even let US or Soviet Union meddle in this issue back when they were superpowers.

As of now, Armenia is seeking our help primarily cos Russia is not able to help them, while Turkey and Israel are ideologically inclined to support Azerbaijan due to historical relation. But is this going to affect strong Indo Israeli relationship? Not a bit. That is realpolitik relationship which is not viewed by one country relationship with a third country.

But what Turkey did is directly damage the relationship btw india and Turkey. Is it reversible? Definitely yes. Probably with a new president or the current president has change of mind

If you do realpolitik you should understand Regardless of erdogan, India-turkey defence relationship at any significant level is never gonna work out as long as turkey cosnider pakistan an strategic ally.

And ( fortunately or unfortunately, depending on person's view ) turkey always considered pakistan an strategic ally even when the hardcore seculars were in power. It is a long standing military to military relationship.

Kashmir is a ridiculous issue, it will have to be fixed eventually. But as countries progress in their domestic politics like this, it is difficult to improve relations. :(Turkiye no longer looks at international relations with the old point of view, I think our President's advisor has changed. :D :p

It appears previous reports were slightly incorrect...the item being sold is not the Bharat-52 155mm, 52-cal towed howitzer, but instead its the MaRG 155-BR, a 155mm 39-cal self-propelled howitzer mounted on 4x4 high mobility vehicle.

By the way...an observation:

Armenia has spent over $400 million over the last couple months purchasing weapons in India alone ($250 million for MBRLs, ATGMs and now this $155 million). That's over half of their entire defence budget (about ~$750 million).

I don't know what else they're buying and from who, but this shopping spree seems to have started shortly after Nancy Pelosi's visit to Yerevan. I wonder if she left her purse behind?

I won't be surprised if its actually the US that's covertly funding these purchases. Armenia is Russia's last remaining ally in the Caucasus and the defence relationship is one of the critical lynchpins that keeps Armenia tied to Russia at the hip despite everything. The Americans would love to pitch in to ensure Armenia moves away from reliance on Russian systems at the tactical level by purchasing from whoever else, while the US could sooner or later decide to step in to provide the strategic-level relationship Armenia needs.

Deprive Russia of an ally, and at the same time gain a foothold in a country bordering Erdogan's Turkey - a useful tool to exert pressure in the future. Two birds one stone? Remember it was the current administration in DC that formally recognized the Armenian genocide.

Steps are certainly being taken by the US to prop up Armenia.

Any specs on the vehicle? I don't see anything similar in Paramount group's lineup but it does aesthetically look similar to Ashok Leyland's LBPV which the IAF Garuds recently acquired
