back in 2014 Abdullah Gul the then President i think of Turkiye handed over something like 200Kg of highly enriched uranium. No one asked him how Turkey got it. I think that its an open secret within NATO that Turkey has had the means to enrich uranium for many decades.

Nowadays it‘s even more difficult to illegally extract HEU from research reactors. Most of them used high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) of up to 20% in the past which would have to be enriched further to 93% highly enriched uranium (HEU) using gas centrifuges.

The HEU of Turkish sole active research reactor TR-2 was already moved back to USA (news source from 2017):

i'm looking for it, but it seems like they were taken down. But i'm 100% sure i read it back in the day i even shared back in the day. Because if it even shocked me that out of nowhere we had highly enriched uranium and then i asked myself why were AK party giving it away.

That‘s true. I‘m only reacting to members who post unfounded views, that building a nuclear bomb would be easy and a piece of uranium cake. It‘s not - even if you have technical knowledge.

It‘s nearly impossible nowadays to enrich Uranium with gas centrifuges (10.000 and more needed) and breed Plutonium undetected. South Africa pulled that off once. Iran got sanctioned into economic meltdown, Syria‘s secret reactor built with North Korean help got air striked and destroyed.

Pakistan is the only nuclear proliferation state with the Khan ring that did it for money: They got shafted so hard by America. Look at their economy now, it‘s falling apart.

According to the news that I read in previous years, but not certain, that 5.4 kilograms of enriched uranium was delivered to the USA. 200 kilos is not very convincing in terms of numbers anyway.

From what I have read, the HEU was from TR-2. They've also changed TR-2 from HEU to LEU now.

Since NK missiles can reach US homeland, no one believes that Washington would trade LA or San Francisco for Seoul. The nuclear umbrella has become full of holes.

Therefore 70% of South Korean population is for arming with nuclear weapons. SK will go nuclear in the next 2 decades IMO and Japan will follow suit.
