I disagree. An incident with Greece or an operation in Syria is all it takes for the Senate to pass a resolution to stop engine deliveries to Turkiye. GE can't do anything but obey under those circumstances.

Long-term acquisition of GE engines is a risky business. We should get something like 50-60 engines while we can and as soon as possible. We should stock them. Those will be enough to reach 2030+. The first TFX will be delivered in 2028-2029.

Well, it is not that easy. Greek lobby, Armenian lobby, most of the Israeli&Jewish lobby, and Indian lobby is against us but it is true that GE has big interests in Turkiye and will defend us.

BTW the US asked us to pay depot/storage costs of Turkish F-35s. This tells a lot about the current climate.

This is only for the first batch (LRIP) of TF-X. By (early) 2030, domestic engines will start to power TF-X.

could you give me an example of such a deal that europeans make? Like if you buy german tanks what other goods or services do you have to purchase from them?

I have no special link where you can read that it is combined together... there was one article I have read where you could see all the involvement of german companies together with military stuff but lazy as I am I didnt save that.. but you see if deals are made they secure the dictator like in egypt they make military deals meanwhile the door for civilian deals like train, building etc opens.. this is also a must for turkish state dont send mr bayraktar to a country to make a deal for himself visit them together with ministers and company owners..

also we see they sell tb2 bot no rockets no koral no vehicles...

Or is LM saying ; “sort out your state to state differences and take delivery of the planes I have produced for you.“

On another note; Hadn‘t US government instructed LM to prepare these planes to be transferred to the inventory of US airforce?

in return Turkish side asked for the compensation of the ecomomic losses of Turkish companies which had work shares in F 35 or contiue providing parts for F 35

A long-term high-volume agreement was signed with General Electric for the F110 GE-129 turbofan engine within the scope of the MMU project. It is estimated that TEI will likely produce parts for the project.

Why would TEI do that when they were stating few days ago that they are veen c.oser to producing their own national engines and that serial production versions will run with national engine in 2028? Is it a sign that TEI stumbled on so ething during the engine development?

No, I remember TEİ stating the tests (flying) will start in 2028, not serial production.

Given that they test the engine for around 4 years (2032), we would need ~200 engines for the production.

This deal is probably for that
