My God why am i only read from the headline! there are some infos and progress in there:
- According to concordant sources, Indonesia has released a budget to acquire 18 new Rafales after the first six entered into force in 2022 (about 1.3 billion dollars).
- As a reminder, the contract was divided into three tranches (6 + 18 + 18).
- The last tranche (18 aircraft) could be put into effect before the end of the year, or perhaps slip into early 2024.
- For Dassault Aviation, the entry into force of this tranche must imperatively take place before Indonesian presidential election scheduled for February 2024. So it's a real race against time
- Jakarta may acquire an additional 12 Mirage 2000-5 fighters from Qatar, according to people familiar with the matter.

Indonesia has made a down-payment to acquire 18 Dassault Rafale jets, a contract for which was signed in April 2022.

With this, Indonesia’s order has officially entered the Dassault Aviation’s backlog for Rafale jets, French publication LaTribune reported.

Jakarta has freed up $1.3 billion for the Rafale aircraft. It has agreed to buy 42 of these France-made jets.

“We will bring Rafale fighters from France,” Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto announced on Wednesday at Halim Perdanakusuma air base.

A new tranche of 18 Rafale is due to come into effect soon, as per unconfirmed reports.

The A-100 is surprisingly capable. It and the E-3 are significantly better than the rest. I guess size does matter a great deal compared to smaller AEW&C like the Erieye.
