Nope, it's maximum speed is 1.8 mach
I have been seeing the number Mach 2 all over the place, what makes you say Mach 1.8 is their maximum speed?
Nope, it's maximum speed is 1.8 mach
I meant to say they accepted the trade-off that is to come with the decision to have DSI.This means that the Chinese aircraft, like the F35, will perform most of its mission by flying around 1,2 mach. J-21 will rarely go up to mach 1,8. There is no problem there. Or there is no such thing as not caring.

China's first stealth fighter for aircraft carriers is emerging, but a big problem still weighs it down
A model jet spotted on a fake aircraft carrier is the latest hint about what China's navy might have planned for its carrier air wings.www.businessinsider.com
"The US Navy's main fighters, the F-35C and the F/A-18E, both have a top speed of Mach 1.6, while the FC-31 is reportedly capable of reaching speeds as fast as Mach 1.8. (The F-35C is limited to operation on just one US carrier.)"
You can also check, you know, wikipedia. Where have you seen that mentions mach 2?
No we're not, J-21 is the name given to this plane by people, not it's official name. FC-31 is J-21, it has also been called J-35.We were talking about different jets; you were talking about FC-31, while I was talking about the J-20.

China’s future carrier-borne stealth fighter J-35 images emerge
New images of one of the J-35 prototypes have appeared on Chinese social networks, evidence that the development program continues to advance at a good pace.www.aviacionline.com
"According to information provided by AVIC (Aviation Industry Corporation of China), the J-31/FC-31 has a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 28 metric tons, an operational ceiling of 15 kilometers and a maximum speed of Mach 1.8, or 2,205 kilometers per hour, with an estimated range of 2,000 kms."
Mate, you said J-21 in your own post.
but the Chinese J-21 does over Mach 2 and it has them.
your right. I did it by mistake. Sorry for the confusion.Mate, you said J-21 in your own post.
Either it works at much reduced efficiency near those speeds (or at low mach speeds), or more likely the spec is just a lie, as is the case with most Chinese products.but the Chinese J-20 does over Mach 2 and it has them.
It is indeed a misconception for people who are usually far away from China, But never mind., or more likely the spec is just a lie, as is the case with most Chinese products.
J-20 isn't junk buddy. It is a sin to compare it to junks like the Su-57 and the J-20
100+KW T/R modules???100+kW 2000+ modules GaN
That my friend, you will require alien tech to make 100+KW module AESA LPI against 5th gen EW suites like ALR-94 or ASQ-239.LPIR
Iirc, TurAF requiment was for TFX to be low observable. I don't know if they exceeded the requirement.RCS & max altitude.
With the inductions of Gokhan it wouldn't matter that much if opponent flies higher.F-22 with 65.000 feet could have a great advantage against TF-X with only 55.000 feet planned ceiling.
This is just the first prototype that barely made the first slow taxi testing, tonns of avionics arent even installed either because they are still in development or the engineers didnt have time to do so yet.
from Elbit systems? wowWe might've found the mysterious helmet

EDIT: NOPE...

The TF-X's service ceiling has been updated from 55,000 feet to 60,000 feet for the first prototype, possibly domestic engines producing more power will allow 65,000 feetA stealth interceptor/air superiority fighter with 100+kW 2000+ modules GaN LPIR loaded with 200+ km range ramjet Gokhan missiles should give pause to anyone including Su-57, F-35, J-20 and even F-22. I am most curious about it's actual RCS & max altitude. F-22 with 65.000 feet could have a great advantage against TF-X with only 55.000 feet planned ceiling.
