12 TAI Anka for Indonesia. 6 of them will be assembled locally.
At this stage i am surprised TAI offering any kind of local production or assembly after what they have been through.
options for more? Seems odd to only assemble 6 locally
From that point on they will revive the local MALE program. Note it aside.

Yeah, in every deal they are offering local production. Even for small orders.

I don't think it's all doom and gloom with these local production agreements. If they produce their own drones, they will probably buy hard-to-produce components from us. Software wise we are still leagues ahead. Actually, having this will free our precious engineers to focus on more critical projects and production of more critical parts. It's a delicate balance but it can be positive in the long run.

Yeah, can't stand that at all. Like dude, you already sell the drones relatively cheap. No need to teach everyone and their mother. I hate this in Turks always good hearthed. Fuckin weak mindset man.

I fail to understand Tusas’s strategy to be honest. Usually you provide local production and know how when there is a huge order at stake. But they practically always give it no matter the order.

I am surprised just like you but could it be maybe part of an SE Asia expansion plan? After all Tusas, if my memory serves me well, was hiring Indonesian engineers for their Indonesia office, right?

How are you doing with optics, radars, missiles, turbodiesel aviation engines and turboprop engines?
I don't remember our local industry make any progress on these either 😑

At this point I just hope Indonesia buy a lot of Turkish MALE UAV and produce them locally with license, just like C212.

Isn't that more related to Spain rather than Turkiye?
Told it somewhere in Naval Programs that Navantia is desiring to work with Sedef. So it is win-win.

Also TR holds license rights for one more hull that can be materialized for any customer.
