I guess that wasn't the only problem. In 2018, 120 mm HE tank ammunition was probably not produced in our country. But then the embargo may have come to raw materials as well. Because at that time, we were embargoed for everything against us.
A reminder: In Operation Olive Branch, sabot shells were used throughout the operation because the tanks ran out of 120 mm HE ammunition.

We have need to import ammunition, because we havent much, for a tiny operation? Whats wrong with MKE?

I would like to remind one FACT which may gave you the answer.
ex MKE director was caught for selling all IP, blueprints, process of building etc. of Turkyie own products.
I think it was 2016-2017 when this happened.
After this happened Turkiye government start a procedure of check up MKE company. It is look like that corruption was on HIGH level.

I think 2018-2019 were years where MKE company was reconstructed/build up as cleaning up organization, people in charge, machines etc.

For information, Facilities that will support Roketsan and MKE in peace and war times as follows;

One of the munition production facilities that received government incentives to support Roketsan and MKE belongs to the Assan group. They provide this additional production capability with an investment of over 800 million TL.

Another one is Mite defense. It will produce 360 million cartridges per year in different calibers for the army with the production facility it established in Çorum. Mite belongs to Ahlatcı group as well.

Ahlatçı group in cooperation with MKE establishing a facility in Çorum, where 1200 people will work and with a gunpowder production capacity of 1500ton/year, with an investment costing 6 billion TL.
The gunpowder to be produced will be processed in this facility from raw material to final product. 40% of the gunpowder produced will be purchased directly by MKE and %60 to abroad.

ZSR which started mass production of infantry rifle cartridges, produced the first prototypes of 12.7×99 mm heavy machine gun cartridges . ZSR's annual production capacity is 120 million units for 9×19 mm cartridges; For infantry rifle cartridges, nearly 50 million units.

Turaç Defense Company also serves the defense industry with its annual production capacity of more than 200 million cartridges. The private company that received permission to produce rifled cartridges also produces for the army.

With new investment additional annual production of aircraft bombs will be 11 200. It is said that the capacity will almost be doubled in 2024. So we can predict the annual production of bomb as 12 000 for the time being. Of course some of them is being and will be exported. But this is a good number in case of emergency.

What about annual production capacity of guidance kits? It should be almıst the same I suppose.

That is not a conventional missile. It's for Nulcear MIRVs.
Chenk with 1x MARV is probbaly similar to Iranian Kheibar Shekan.

I still do not understand the ridiculous low number of tubes.
In the case of TSK we know that TSK don't like to put everything in one basket. We see this in many platforms that entered the inventory of the armed forces. This concept proves to be somehow useful looking at the scale of modern conflicts. For example hundreds of units of equipment can be destroyed in a matter of 2-3 days in Ukraine. Other than the price we know very well how difficult is to replenish munitions during wartime.

In a case of destroyed unit of TRLG-230 in this configuration we got 4 missiles destroyed together with the launcher. If the configuration is 12x as in the Bangladeshi variant you got 3 times more destroyed munitions. Now let's imagine that 5 of these are destroyed in an intensive day during wartime. In one case you got 20 missiles destroyed in the other 60 missiles destroyed (200% more). What would be the rate of manufacturing, numbers in stocks etc? These are all questions that TSK took in account when deciding. Every armed forces has its way of calculating and doing things.

This doesn't mean that the client country can't use the system in a different way. For example our brother @Afif showed us how the Bangladeshi forces applied a different solution for their guided munitions.

@Huelague This is probbaly one of Turkish army Configuration.

You can clearly see the empty other half. You can just put another six tube pod there with crane only. (Does not even require any modification)

The advantage is, mission commander can configure it however he chooses according to the risk assessment (as @Kartal1 Pointed out) and mission types (sometimes you may have to engage multiple targets quickly and you don't have extra reload time)

US is contemplating introducing the JDAM munitions with rocket assistance. This will make the relatively cheap JDAMs to be used from Stand Off distances.
Whereas a cruise missile like our SOM costs in excess of a million dollars, JDAMs cost is between 25 to 30000 dollars. How much of a cost increase is going to be with the introduction of a rocket to a standard JDAM is yet to be seen. But if it is still affordable and cheap enough to be used in quantitie, then it is the right route to take.

Our HGK is the locally produced version of JDAM. When released from a fast moving fighter jet at high altitude it has a range of around 15 to 25 km. this means the aircrafts will have to enter enemy Air Defence Systems’ range in order to release them.
Our KGK which is the local alternative to JSOW, has a range of up to 130km which puts it in stand off ranges. But it is very much dependent on the speed of aircraft releasing it and the altitude at which it is released. it is slightly more expensive than HGK. It is essentially a glide bomb which can be precision guided to target. Slow and lower altitude UCAV released KGKs have much shorter ranges.
If we can add some form of affordable cheap rocket assistance to our HGKs as well, that will allow them to be stand off weapons too. There were studies done by Turkish munition developers regarding this issue. May be it is time we put it to application.

There was a similar product offered to the TAF. It was rejected. Story of our people. I'm sure once it becomes operational with the US the TAF will suddenly see a need for it.

No bro! We bought a number of them for 95000 dollars each from the US. Liked them. Ordered a good quantity for our needs. US declined to sell. Then we produced our own indigenous HGK version costing us then around 27000 dollars. Then US approached us and told us we could buy as many as we want for 24000dollars. (prices are approximate. Don’t quote me on that.) They of course got the middle finger.
We were already producing the MK series dumb bombs anyway.
