Just post what you want in this thread (politics, internal affairs etc). The rest of forum is as defence oriented as possible. This is best compromise found over the years regarding the baiting and trolling thats happened (and shoutbox thread spamming etc).

All Indian language videos/articles etc go in here too. Rest of forum is English only (except for specific threads like this one).

hehe. feel the same. local elections in two months. our "hardworking" municipality poured asphalt on our perfectly fine road in front of my house and brought the road level to sideway level. parks are greener. roads have more trees..

Is this a minority government? 38 seats out of 80?

The president is essentially voted directly by the people separate to the legislature (MPs). Kind of a US and French style system.

So the weightiest check and balance (upon the executive) is the impeachment process the unicameral legislature has and the 2/3rds majority needed to convict (I suppose similar to US senate).

i.e how the people vote for their MPs (and their party affiliation) does not have direct bearing on their vote for president on the same ballot.
