One of our main goals is to build a national, fully independent defense industry in the 100th anniversary of the Republic. This year, we have been able to produce gallium nitrate transistors, which we use in radar and electronic warfare, locally, with the work we carried out jointly with BİLKENT University.
This is extremely important if we manage to build up our own semiconductor industry, then we can talk about absolute independence.
Tubitak prepare Production Capability for 65 nm Chips
This is what I call state-of-the-art. Aselsan managed to fit 1152 T/R modules on the nose of an F-16 without any enlargement and from a transistor to a finished product with in-house design and production. Aselsan can easily scale this to 2x (2304 modules) and use it as the nose radar part of the BURFIS RF suite. Look at the size and compactness of the building block that has 16x T/R modules.ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol: "We started to mass produce gallium nitrate transistors, which we use in radar and electronic warfare, with the work we carried out jointly with BİLKENT University this year."
I'd say second one sounds more plausible but I'm not sure.So they sold their equipment to the US and thus made our supply lines weaker?
Or does it mean that they are investing in new production and new equipment in the US?
Something doesnt sound right about this announcement.
I think it‘s REPKON Defence not MKE.Apparently, US is building 3 munitions lines in Texas, purchased from a Turkish defence company (purchasing lines?), which would be MKE I guess.
A strong relationship with Türkiye is in America’s best interest
We don’t agree on everything but the country is an indispensable ally of the United States.www.deseret.com
Relevant part:
"We are partnering with the Turkish defense industry to boost our critical munition stockpiles, which must be replenished following our unprecedented assistance to Ukraine’s defense against Russia’s full-scale invasion. In Texas, the Department of Defense is building three munitions lines purchased from a Turkish defense firm.
By next year, an estimated 30% of all 155 mm rounds made in America will come from these Texas factories, thanks to the U.S.-Türkiye defense partnership. "
I know they produced a grenade launcher, but didn't know they produced shells. Or, will these be their first production lines?I think it‘s REPKON Defence not MKE.
Last year they announced strategic partnership with BOWAS Group, this company produces chemicals and explosivesI know they produced a grenade launcher, but didn't know they produced shells. Or, will these be their first production lines?
So, if our market is cornered by MKE and Roketsan, they might be looking for another one. Then, they are probably the manufacturer of 40mm rockets that can be used in Asisguard's Songar, as the grenade launcher it uses is Repkon's.Last year they announced strategic partnership with BOWAS Group, this company produces chemicals and explosives
Its about munitions. Our company sold 3 production lines to be installed in Texas. It might be related to the F-16 deal. (offset)
Do you know what is an offset deal? The US has no incentive to buy 3 production lines from us for munition production. The cost of 3 production lines is peanuts for the US and even if we sell it for a cheaper price than our competition the US will take the hit and buy from another international source (or more likely from one of their companies) for the sake of it.Its about munitions.
