"Margarita Simonyan, the editor-in-chief of Russian state-controlled broadcaster RT and one of the most prominent faces of pro-Kremlin propaganda called Armenia's PM Pashinyan "a traitor to the Armenian people," who was "steering the nation towards ruin". She warned, "If the Armenian people persist in supporting him, there will be no Armenia in five years' time, just as there's no Karabakh in the form that the Armenian people desire."

As much as she's that got typical Russian cultural fanaticism for violence and tyranny, she's right, the russians will annex them if Armenia thinks she can stay enemies with Turkey/Azerbaijan while trying to suck of a new daddy in the west.

Only way Armenia can seperate from Russia in the mid term is to stop the hostility against Turkey/Azerbaijan and make peace. Then build security ties with Turkey/Azerbaijan and then if she wants to kick the Russians out she can.

What Pashinyan needs is one more military fail and I am confident that he is done. The Armenian people will remove him themselves and we know what happens next.

Russia is surely hardening the tone especially after Russian troops were asked to leave Armenia.

One thing is for sure:

Russians are not good neighbours.

Greeks can afford to piss off Russia because any invasion will end up going through Turkiye first anyway.

Reminds me of the Polish joke about asking a genie to make Mongolians invade Poland because it means they end up going through Russia twice.

The thing is if the Russian army strikes had killed the Greek PM it would have meant nothing more then a few angry articles in western papers. It would mean absolutely nothing to Russia or the wider geostrategic picture. The sooner the greeks realise they are at best just a pawn on the chessboard the sooner they can follow productive and sane policies.

However, Mitsotakis and Zelenski narrowly escaped being killed when they left 10-15 minutes before the ceremony was bombed. The murder of the prime minister of a NATO member country by the Russians in Ukraine could lead to the start of World War III. If I were you, I would think carefully about where this could lead.

The entire Russian border, from Norway in the north to the Black Sea in the south, is closed. Russians carry out 40% of all trade through the Black Sea and Turkey. Russia does not have the luxury of entering into conflict with Turkey. I will even say more, they cannot afford to conflict even with us. For the sake of maintaining good relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey, they have long come to terms with the loss of Armenia as an ally.
They are firmly stuck in Ukraine. In the event of incredible success there, their position, in my opinion, could worsen even further (Russia’s victory is unacceptable for the West).
The current geopolitics of Russia can be expressed in one word - Catastrophe.

I dont think so , NATO article 5 say that countries that are part of NATO and if they are attacked in their land unprovocked can be defended by whole NATO , not PM in another country that is in war

There is a difference between the interpretation of these agreements by the strong countries and the interpretation of the weak countries. For countries that are left alone within NATO, such as Turkey, these agreements are interpreted by emptying the articles and making excuses. In other words, the law of the strong is superior to the law of the weak. That's why the USA, the British and the French can easily interpret that agreement as they wish. This article does not reduce the tension that increases in such a situation. The killing of a Greek Prime Minister in Ukraine is tantamount to trampling on NATO's pride. This is no different from the sinking of the Russian cruiser Moskva. If you trample NATO's pride, they will feel obliged to fight back.

This is actually all about belonging. NATO's borders are blurry for Ukraine. I don't think they would be in favor of going to war right away. However, they will not refrain from taking steps that increase the possibility of war.

Russia supported Greek independance by the way. Russia will never go against its own proxy.

Greece and Russia are really close and will always be.

Dont forget how the Russians wanted to take Istanbul and install the Greeks as their puppet leaders.

During ww1 as Trabzon got occupied the Pontic Greeks welcomed the Russians as liberators.

Russians know deep down the Greeks will never push the trigger to shoot them.

Turkiye shot down a Russian jet we seen how Nato solidarity went.

Nato is a paper tiger. Deep down they all know they wont go to war for a member state in particular the ones from the East like Turkiye, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria and the Baltic.

Article 5 will only be unleashed unless the West gets attacked.

Which is the USA and Western Europe.
