I had no idea that a Turk came up with this idea. I wonder if the Turkish government is working on something similar; it will be a shame if the US adopts it but not Turkey.

I am not aware of a same concept in development in Turkiye.

Well, it is known that TSK doesn't like to be an innovator or the "first to". While there are bad sides of this there is also a logical explanation and this is the already low defence budget.

Turkiye doesn't have the almost unlimited budget the US haves and this is why every development and acquisition is planned very specifically without much room for experimenting and especially taking in account that we should play with expensive cruise missiles, cargo planes and release systems... I don't see this happening anytime soon .

Also there is something in this concept that is not compatible with the way the Turkish Air Forces operate. We already have extremely overstretched and aging cargo fleet and I am not sure if we have the luxury to sacrifice logistics capacity in order to use a cargo plane in this specific role. This is why we bid on higher count of unmanned platforms (unmanned) that will be able to fire such weapons from standoff ranges.

For a Regional Strike Capabillity, Cruise Missiles and Hypersonic Cruise Missiles can be deployed on Trucks, without scarificing Airlift Capabillity. Not to forget on Surface Ships and Submarines.

Proving itself with its operational successes #HGK84 is in the field with its new capabilities!

The new generation guidance kit hit the target accurately in the firing test. It is now much more effective against operational conditions. 🚀🎯

Mass production of domestic and national #HGK84 continues in line with the needs of the Turkish Armed Forces.

It seems to be possible to go with Siper Product-2 a similar Way like with the XAIM-147b. These long-range BVR Missiles have the Capabillity to counter enemy high Value Assests like AWACS, MPA and Tankers.

Hehe, it reminds me the good old Phoenix missile.

The MTCR is not a treaty and does not impose any legally binding obligations on Partners (members). Rather, it is an informal political understanding among states that seek to limit the proliferation of missiles and missile technology.

It is non-binding for the US, but it might be binding for us depending on the situation. We don't want to risk getting into trouble so we limit the range of our missiles to 300 km for export versions.
