Secret Service and the police had multiple civilians raise the alarm and point out the shooter climbing up but they did nothing. This entire affair is fishy but so is American politics in general.

And shooting is still affected by wind, speed and other factors. So the fact that Trump survived is pure luck.

To be fair the shooter was pretty dumb to be aiming where he was. Most professionals always advise to aim for the center of mass (in this case the mass being the head). And that pic shows the bullet passing closer through his ear than it actually did. So in reality the shooter's aim was kinda crap no matter how you look at it.

Range I go to regularly, I shoot .223 out to 300 yards (400 yards too but they have that area open only sometimes) very accurately....I prefer .308 in general though. Sitting and prone. Anything below 200 is not a challenge at all.
But then again this is with low adrenalin, decent breathing control and so on.
The perp had intent + planning obv....drove the car right up to the building and was challenged by a cop there (who backed down) and then rushed to get his quarry in window he had..... there is distinct adrenalin hit you get hunting game ( I know because I hunt too), that would have impacted with him too....especially if you havent trained for it.
This all combined with the miracle hand/breath of God sheer luck Trump had too....almost deus ex machina given 140 yards or so is literally nothing even with the shooter's problems I listed.
The absolute dropping of ball by secret service (DEI crap yet again showing up) is another thing to get into.
Anyway I am here for the US fightback against the crazy leftist undermining and usurpation of US institutions and associated federal statist overreach.
