We hate HTS but we use them as proxies against ASSad and Russia. Hts is known to fight Russia. Let them kill each other off.
Its true but it is rumored that after the HTS took control of Idlib, they started to disobey Turkish commands and are even rumored to have contacts with the Israeli Mossad

The HTS is trying to drag Turkey into a war with Assad and Russia. This comes when Assad/Turkey reapproachement started taking baby steps and when Israel started waging a war against Hezbollah in Lebanon. As @Kartal1 said, the rumors that HTS struck a deal with Mossad to weaken Assad, Russia, as well as Turkey while Israel takes the easy path in conquering nations is highly plausible

Therefore, we can conclude that having this type of ally (wolves in sheep clothes) being eliminated early on in the game is beneficial in the long run as they will 1000000% stab Turkey in the back when it matters the most since the jews love nothing more than traitors after all

Lets not forget the time when HTS fighters were being treated in Israeli hospitals just like with ISIS

West keeps supporting them
West supports HTS as well. How do you think they managed to stay in their corner of Syria while ISIS was being bombed to oblivion? How did US did multiple anti ISIS ops without touching HTS? They cooperate.

Is HTS a problem for Türkiye and Turkish foreign policy?
Of course it is. It's a fundamentalist holdout with nowhere to go with millions of malnourished refugees under its rule. Turkey did silently act against HTS multiple times in the last year.

I also think that this a tripartite operation from Turkey-Russia-Syria.
Not even close.
I thought similar until seeing Israel's outright barbarity and how the "civilized" West keeps supporting them.

However, I no longer look at things from the Western perspective and use terms like "global jihad". We should switch yellow Hollywood filters off while looking at the Middle East.

If these people are fundamentalists, there must be reasons for it. We should focus on the reasons rather than the outcome.

Is HTS a problem for Türkiye and Turkish foreign policy? If yes, that's another matter. However, I don't see such a case at the moment. We have much bigger problems.

Btw, -afaik- HTS is quite decent in their military and in their administration. There's no corruption and disorder under their authority. They keep their towns safe and well maintained. Unlike the "moderate" SNA that we support unfortunately.
After the Operation Spring Shield HTS was involved into multiple moves targeting us and our sponsored forces. They managed to infiltrate the ranks of SNA and force the idea of joining forces under a radical Salvation Government.

Just a couple of months ago HTS supported terrorists opened fire at Turkish forces resulting in clashes in a couple of points in our controlled areas and TSK bases in Idlib were besieged, military equipment sustained damage. I don't even want to mention the IED attacks targeting joint TSK-Russian patrols that they put on DEASH while it was them.

HTS is viewing TSK as murtadeen and we view them as radicals. There's no future with them. Not to mention their relationship with foreign intelligence services.
As always the situation in Syria is confusing AF with trillions of factions with god knows whom they really support

Anyways, from the recent events, it seems that we can hypothesize few points:

1- Turkey wants to get rid of the HTS as they can backstab Turkey at the back at any moment

2- Assad wants to get rid of HTS as they are creating chaos and working in tandem with Tel Aviv (fqing jews everywhere I swear)

3- it seems weird that HTS is being attacked and Turkey isnt responding; thus, coupled with the first 2 points, I believe we can hypothesize that Turkey and Russia reached some sort of agreement involving the elimination of the HTS

4- It seems that Turkey and the SNA wants Tel Rifat and rumors of an impending op is high; but as always, take it with a grain of salt

5- It seems the rumors that Turkey, Russia, and Assad are gradually becoming closer is starting to have some legitimacy
There are no concrete steps taken by the Assad Regime on point 5. We did countless of gestures that went unanswered and not only that, but military activity on Manbij and Tal Rifat fronts increased immensely. I think the failure of this process took us to the point of planning an action against Tal Rifat. This is where HTS wants to exploit the situation and attack Aleppo as they know very well that we will be forced to intervene on their behalf. Now we have a situation where we either wait Assad to launch an attack on Idlib and respond or we act first. Very hard situation.

Well, we cooperate with them too?

As I said, if HTS is a threat to Turkish national security, that's another matter. I just think we should look at them realistically and not through ideological lenses.

We cooperate with US, Russia and Iran too.

We already do. And just like others, they are a threat too. But unlike US that can tank our economy, Russia that can cut our gas or Iran that can squirm us in Iraq, HTS threat by its nature is more ideological. They can destabilize the region further and push refugees and they can create more fundementalists near and inside our country, they already do.

Assad regime cant be approached.

Turkiye has been directly and indirectly at war with this criminal regime for decades even before the civil war.

Yes in the late 90s Turkiye nearly went to war against Syria this was when Hafez was ruling.

They for decades they supported pkk and the asala terrorist group.

Turkiye's biggest problem in the Syrian Civil war is that Bashar Al Assad hasnt got taken out. Then again even if Bashar is gone the country would erupted into another Libya.

We seen how broken Iraq is.

While Russian Mi-8 and Ka-52 helicopters are flying in the YPG/PKK-controlled Derbesiye city, close to the Turkish border, Russian Su-24 and Su-34 warplanes are flying in the Azaz countryside, close to the Turkish border.

While Russian warplanes continue their activities in all of these regions, Turkish F-16 warplanes are carrying out intensive activities in the skies of Gaziantep and on the Syrian border.

Russian forces are reinforcing Ayn Issa from the Tabka airbase.

A ceasefire decision has been taken by the the Joint Force and Levant Front/Suqur Al-Shimal until 15:30 to evacuate civilians from the combat areas.

According to information received from local sources, it was reported that the ceasefire between Levant Front/Suqur Al-Shimal and the Joint Force was extended for another hour.

Yesterday during the clashes the HQ of Suqur Al-Shimal was captured by the Joint Force together with the brother of the commander of the group, Uday Hayriyah. Clashes continued trough the night and a couple of villages were cleansed from the control of the Suqur Al-Shimal. The clashes started after a decision of the Ministry of Defence instructing the group to disband itself.

The Northern Falcons (Suqur al-Shamal) group dissolved itself and announced its separation from the 2nd Corps, indirectly from the Sham Front (al-Jabhat al-Shamiyah) group. This will possibly end the conflict.

I think this is it. Another gang working overtime on drug smuggling and other crimes bites the dust.

Wait, what's happening I don't get it.

I haven't been paying attention to Syria and forgot who was who. so, who was the Joint Force, and when you talk about ending the conflict, are you referring to the civil war or a power struggle in the free Syrian army?

The Joint Forces is a Syrian National Army unit consisted of the Suleyman Shah and Hamza divisions.

You can see what was happening if you read a couple pages back, but basically a group named the Northern Falcons (Suqur Al-Shimal) continued to exploit the power they got and was asked to put down arms and disband. The group was allied with the Levant Front, another group with people involved in criminal activities.

After the Northern Falcons didn't comply clashes started and the Levant Front intervened on the behalf of the Northern Falcons against the Joint Forces and the Sultan Murad group.

In result the Northern Falcons lost all its HQs and it was disbanded. A couple of groups also left the Levant Front and joined the 51st Division. Slowly, but surely the Levant Front loses power and reputation, so there is a real possibility of it being disbanded if the current leader is not replaced

And while SNA groups are fighting among themselves 11 civilians were killed and at least 35 people were injured in a RuAF airstrike on a sawmill.

The TSK base in Taftanaz was harassed by SAA artillery. TSK artillery responded and hit SAA positions in Seraqib.

They are the successors of successors of an organization they were originally Al Qaeda Syria. They are cut-throat Jihadis. Just not violent animal as ISIS or have grand aims like Al Qaeda.
To take it a bit further he was initially part of the Al Qaeda Iraq under the command of Abu Musab Al-Zarqawi and was pointed as a close associate. So close that after he returned to Syria he took command of Al Qaeda Syria or otherwise known as Al Nusra. The structure of Zarqawi in Iraq later turned into the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham.

In the root of this group is terrorism, its present is terrorism and its future will be indeed terrorism. But while people like Zarqawi, Baghdadi, Zawahiri, Al-Shami and many other bite the dust, what's so special in Joulani so he stands firm while his role in terrorism is proven, the US sees him as a terrorist and knows exactly to the point where he is? I will leave the answer for the ones thinking with their brain.

Well that went nowhere. They are happy with their KCK allies. What are we going to do about it?

"Russia has suspended mediation in rapprochement talks between Türkiye and the Syrian regime."
Of course we are doing a joint operation with them and SAA against Israel! :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Jokes aside. If we do nothing what is going to happen depends on either if HTS attacks Aleppo or the SAA attacks Idlib. No matter if SHTF or if it doesn't we have the full capacity to take Tal Rifat. They can do nothing about it (if we show that we have the balls). If we are lucky and determined enough Manbij may become a potential target. I would really like an Israeli push in Syria right now. It will serve us well.

Russian intelligence and military police and a Turkish military delegation held meetings at the Russian base in the city of Saraqib to discuss developments in northern Syria

The Turkish delegation met with a delegation of Russian intelligence and military police at the Russian base known as "Al-Manshara" on the M4 highway near the town of Trnaba, near the city of Saraqeb in the Idlib countryside.

Today's meeting was a continuation of previous meetings held by Russian and Turkish delegations to discuss developments in northern Syria.

The two delegations also discussed Russia's increased aerial bombardment of the Idlib region, as well as steps taken to restore relations between Türkiye and Syria under Russian mediation.

I see just some warehouses in Aynel Arap are being hit. Am I wrong? A limited and perfunctory response. Shame on them...
