Someone is just throwing this out there.

My take is that the FPV, Drone tech etc. has been worked and studied quite well by the militia, rebels, SNA, HTS and we're now seeing their study being utilized, and if they've got enough discipline and stop in-fighting, this could be the result of all that.

Turkish security sources said the operation was aimed at restoring internal borders in line with the 2019 de-escalation zone agreement, which Ankara has refrained from doing so.

The source said the operation was aimed at restoring the borders of the Idlib de-escalation zone, which was initially agreed by Russia, Turkiye and Iran in 2019.

Turkish sources also reported that more than 30 civilians were killed and more than 100 wounded in recent attacks by Syrian government forces and allied militias in Idlib.

In one incident, a Quranic course was attacked, killing three children and wounding dozens, some seriously.

‘‘What was initially planned as a limited operation expanded as regime forces began fleeing their positions’ - Turkish security source’ ( asdfasdfasdf )

Latest situation:

For those who don't know, let's summarize, the operation launched by Syrian opposition forces in Idlib is not an operation launched by groups such as HTS or Fatah Mubin on their own.

Groups such as HTS and Fatah Mubin hold the Idlib region - the dark green part. Groups such as the Joint Force and the Sham Front, supported by Turkiye, hold the light green part above.

The left side was cleared of terrorists with the Olive Branch operation and the middle part with the Euphrates Shield operation.

Although HTS, Fatah Mubin and Turkiye-backed groups have occasionally come face to face, they have united in the operation against the Syrian regime launched in the face of civilian massacres. There are currently 60 different groups on one front, but they all serve the same purpose: to fight against the Syrian regime.

The latest situation in western Aleppo, which should be a buffer zone but is occupied by regime-affiliated militias:

There is a dead body of a Russian SSO.

Rumours it was a soldier others say its an advisors but a lot of the casualties are Assadist forces.

Im wondering who Russia will blame this time Turkiye or Ukraine.

Only one correction:

Fath Al-Mubeen is not a group. It is an operation room created with support by Turkiye with the objective of coordinating the efforts of the Turkish supported Syrian National Army units and HTS in Idlib against the Regime and their allies. When HTS and the SNA need to work together in Idlib it is done trough the Fath Al-Mubeen operations room.

Within this room are the SNA units deployed in Idlib and the HTS. Other units from within the SNA that are not deployed in Idlib and are not part of the operations room also participate in the operations, arriving from Turkish controlled areas like Operation Olive Branch and Operation Euphrates Shield areas.

The whole operation is a joint Opposition effort not led by any faction, but under the leadership of the Fath Al-Mubeen operations room.

Dozens of anonymous accounts that gained followers with messages of support for Hizbullah are now working full-time on cursing Syrian opposition and die-hard defending secterian acem gangs, some with copy/paste messages. They have exposed their organization in a very bad way.

Now with the ceasefire they will descend upon Syria.

Thats what Israel wants. Hezbollah weakened in Syria so they attack Lebanon again in the future.

Do you guys think the meeting with the Israeli intelligence chief had something to do with this operation?

Just wow. They pressurised the regime's build-up in Saraqib and launched a lightning attack on Al Zarba. IMHO this is an area where the opposition can hold M5. Meanwhile in Aleppo countryside, they attacked on two axes and disrupted the organisation of the regime forces, as a result, the connection between Saraqib and Aleppo was cut. Now I believe that there is a very inteligent staff behind the operation.

Intense clashes are reported in Khan Tuman. Khan Tuman town is important because it borders the army base of Aleppo.

Intense clashes are also reported in Mansoura (North east of Khan Asal) on the outskirts of Aleppo.

Syrian Regime announced Damascus-Aleppo highway is closed due to temporary reasons.

Clashes are reported in Zaytan east of al-Zarba.
