The regime has to defend Homs with all its might and these circumstances may trigger a race to Damascus between the land grabber terrorist organisations. The joint opposition forces have so far suffered maybe more than a thousand, they must act very carefully to secure the gains. The regime, on the other hand, is fucked up after Hama defeat, in all circumstances.

Hama is liberated from the regime forces. Although quick, the fighting was fierce and I don't expect an immediate Homs operation. The rebels were quick to seize the momentum after the fall of Aleppo but this time I expect a pause and reorganization period before making a move on Homs. I expect regime forces to retreat to the Al Rastan Dam/Bridge between Hama and Homs. It is a natural defensive formation. There are big equipment losses on the side of the regime and the regime's 25th division experienced heavy losses.
