Capable of Producing 20 to 50 per Day, PT Pindad is Ready to Mass Produce the Maung Tactical Vehicle
Sigit explained that PT Pindad has finalized the design of the vehicle and will begin production in stages in early 2025.
"We have prepared mass production with a finalized design. Production will begin with a capacity of 20 to 50 units per day, including the exterior and interior of the Maung," he explained after receiving Defense Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoedin in the PT Pindad area, Thursday, January 9, 2025.
It is targeted that February or March will start slow production, and in April-May
it can be distributed to officials, including ministers, deputy ministers, heads of agencies, and governors.
Currently, Maung Pindad has five variants. Namely Maung Tangguh - with open doors; Maung Jelajah - closed doors with soft top canvas; Maung Komando - closed doors with hard top; Maung Irup - specifically for ceremony inspectors, and Maung VVIP - a VVIP-based vehicle that called MV3 Garuda.
Sigit added, PT Pindad is also preparing the sixth variant, namely Maung MV3 Elektrik, which is expected to be an innovation in electric-based tactical vehicles.
