He is getting ready to abolish parliament. His approval rating is around %30 neither imprisoning his political rivals nor promising autonomy to the PKK changes that. The last option is a coup, and he is seriously considering that. He thinks that with Trump at the helm of the USA, he won't have many problems. The South Korean president tried that and failed miserably due to inexperience and incompetence. This law will prevent resistance from low-level officers. Turning TAF basically into the armed forces of the Erdogan regime.

Not an Arab military more like into a Russian one.

Which is just as bad.

Erdogan fears a coup, or fear getting taken out of power. His gonna stay in power until he dies.

If he abdicates it means his gonna get arrested then tried in court.

So the soldiers pulling the swords out was just an excuse by Erdogan for another purge.

It is said that Ozdemir Baykraktar supported a lot of soldiers and commanders who were expelled or inprisoned by Erdogan. This pissed off Erdogan. Erdogan could not do anything due to Ozdemir being close with the armed forces.

Erdogans way is either my way or the highway now his gonna take the country with him to hell.

Man has lost it artik.

Correct. Özdemir Bayraktar helped many commanders arrested in the scope of the Ergenekon and Balyoz trials. Baykar still employs some of them.

The fact that there is still around 30% of the population that supports him, despits his many wrong doings, is just pure madness. I have no other words. This is pure treason.

I have two questions: Does he have the power to pass that law? What are the numbers like in parliament right now? Can he pass it without parliament?

Second question the article states that "A similar presidential power to dismiss officers was introduced via emergency decree during a post-coup state of emergency declared in the aftermath of a failed coup in July 2016 but was annulled in 2023 by Turkey’s Constitutional Court, which ruled that such authority could not be entrusted to one individual." has their been any changes to the constitutional court that will let this law through or will the court interven again to stop it again?

The constitutional court does seem to have some ability to fight back, as mentioned above, and there was also a case in 2024 in which the court stripped Erdogan of the power to fire the central bank and appoint the university rectors.

https://turkishminute.com/2024/06/0...n-power-to-appoint-rectors-sack-cb-governors/

Erdogan's loss of popularity may encourage the Constitutional Court to take a more aggressive stance against him, and hopefully, we may see the AKP forced to back down.

The fact that there is still around 30% of the population that supports him, despits his many wrong doings, is just pure madness. I have no other words. This is pure treason.
That speaks to how badly the country has been governed before him; the people have never had a competent government, so they have no idea what one looks like. I also believe that it highlights how bad the CHP is for Turkey's wider political landscape.

The CHP is incompetent, yet it has managed to use the memory of Atatürk to muscle its way into being the second largest opposition party, thus crushing competent political parties that would have gotten rid of the AKP over a decade ago.

A good example is Kılıçdaroğlu throwing the presidential election or how the CHP destroyed the momentum of the pro-democracy protests this year by making it all about themselves, thus isolating other political parties.

The country needs to remember what happens to traitors like Ali kemal before they fall over the edge of becoming another failed Islamic meatgrinder hellhole

The entire Erdogan clan is corrupt and anti-Turkish. Nearly all of them come from "bitter" minority types. The people who have been most deceived within the nation are the Turkish Muslims. These guys have basically been bent over and abused constantly but they enjoyed it because it was their non-Turkic imam doing it.

The "Islamisation" of Turkiye is nearly entirely a western plot against Muslims. You can even find things where german women "intelligence agents" were being sent around Turkiye to tell women they should be wearing the burka etc. The westerners believe that if you give "wahhabist" type islam to Muslims you ultimatly make them destroy themselves.

I agree. Many tarikats have close ties with foreign intelligence.

One thing i realised a long time ago about "political islam", actually the first thing i realised is that political islam in nearly all its faces is western financed and controlled. Or rather the financing comes from the states they created like saudi arabia. Trace it all the way back to the wahhabists who revolted against the Ottoman caliphate calling them kaffir and infidels to today and nothing has changed.

But Political Islam does two major things, first it unites all the enemies of Islam under a common cause. Peoples, cultures and religions who would normally hate each other find each other on the same side because of "political islam". The second thing it does is divide Muslims among themselves, it polarises their societies and makes them ripe for internal insurrections in which the non-muslim usually white outsider can exploit. At a state to state level there is no agreement among the "political islamists" they all see themselves as the "truth" and everyone else as falsehood. The interpretations of the religion becomes so rigid and so extreme that unity is impossible, instead friction and conflict is the norm.

"political islam" is the most powerful tool you can use to destroy Muslim majority states.

Just think how political islam in Turkiye has harmed nationalists/patriots while allowing the PKK to roam openly and freely. The truth is a true Muslim would annihilate the marxist communist western backed PKK pigs. A true Muslim would absolutely look to decimate such an entity. Not promote them, not elevate them, not allow them to roam freely and openly in the state while patriots are destroyed or removed from office.

According to the latest polls, CHP is far ahead of AKP. Somehow, AKP managed to make it worse with peace process 2.0 and Ekrem İmamoğlu trials. Who would have thought? Erdoğan should hang the advisors who advised those genius moves. It seems like Bahçeli will destroy Erdogans political career too after he destroyed Ecevit.

Interestingly, if all 3 nationalist parties combined, they would have 14 per cent of the vote, which is only 8.1 percentage points behind AKP.

I wonder if, in the future, a united nationalist movement can ever knock off the AKP after Erdogan is gone, as the AKP doesn't seem to have much going for it other than Erdogan's cult of personality.

According to a study done by Avrasya Araştırma polling company (CHP leaning company), Mansur Yavaş wins 54 provinces out of 81 in a race between Tayyip Erdogan, Mansur Yavaş, Selahaddin Demirtaş, and Fatih Erbakan. Erdoğan wins 15 provinces while Demirtaş wins 12, Erbakan wins none.

Allowing millions of kurds to flee into Turkiye as refugees and settle as we can see is bad news for the harmony of the nation. Demirtas is a PKK shitbag, yet they will side with marxist terrorists, separatists against the nation. Bad news in the long run, the armenians conducted decades of terrorism and when world war 1 broke out took the opportunity along with the Russians to murder the Muslims in the east and annex the lands. They were deported as a result of their own hostile actions. The greeks likewise waited until the war was over before mounting an invasion of Turkiye, they were crushed by Ataturks nationalists forces and thank god a population exchange took place, a population exchange that the greeks asked for. Because had those 2 million stayed in Turkiye, today they would be the wests biggest prostitute in using to domestically undermine the Turkish nation.

If one thing is clear in this current era that a strong national character is required for a nation to succeed. If a nation is divided among her minorities she will be nothing in the coming age. She will disintegrate and all that will happen is the nations with a strong national character will end up taking them over one by one.
