I visit Turkiye quite often, most of the time the people think I'm purely a tourist. More often then not Kurds will tell me how they hate Turks and see the British/Americans as a great ally and friend of theirs. I used to engage with them and tell them im Turkish, but after a while its pure victimhood bullshit from them. Playing the victim when their not a victim. One of them owned multiple hotels and was living the high life, meanwhile he was trying to bullshit me that he's oppressed within Turkiye.
Two groups of people do this in Turkiye to detrimental effect to the nation. The Political Islamists and the Kurdish nationalists. Both are a disaster and will ruin anything they are able to take hold of. In many ways it makes sense why both groups are always heavily united against the Turks. Same aims and same victimhood mentality.
Honestly these two groups are responsible today for the most regression and terrorism within the nation.
