What is the definition of the Fifth Generation Aircraft?

There is no accepted or accurate definition of fifth-generation fighter Jet. But Lockheed Martin the manufacturer defined it as; incorporation the most modern technologies, such as all-aspect stealth even when armed, advanced avionics features, highly integrated computer systems, low-probability-of-intercept radar (LPIR), and high-performance airframes.

The source took the date of serial production for Tf-X. I don’t know about others. Roll-out of Tf-X is in 18th March 2023.
I guess we will get to see TFX in use in small numbers as early as 2026. And with indigenous engine as early as 2027. If not earlier. Just a feeling.

So do you think that the industry responsible for the manufacture of TFX would be able to hit its target of 2024 first flight, considering the delay due to COVID?

The first flight will be performed in 2025/26 (Mr Kotil stated). 1 years after roll-out is not a realistic target for first flight.

Does introduction here means roll out or enter production?

For KFX is mass production 2026 (plan). Next year in April inshaAllah rolling out first prototype

4.5 gen aircraft without internal weapons bay.
Second block is the start of weapon bay inshaAllah. The design has been made with weapon bay in mind. So there will be no redesigning if second block program is started.

T-7 is not a 5th gen fighter. @Cabatli_53 the article you shared is bullshit.

If India manages to deliver the AMCA by 2030,it would be impressive
Which is kinda optimistic, however DRDO has already developed most of the technologies required for the FGFA.
However if private player like L&T is selected then it would a game changer.
Knowing its record.

No offence but isn't developing a full state of the art turbofan engine in 7 years very difficult?

Well, we dont know but I suspect if all 120 KFX block 1 for Korea and 50 IFX block 1 for Indonesia have been completed (if program is inshaAllah successful and Indonesia is still part of the program (there is renegotiation going on)

The software has been developed

Turkey has focused on development of turbofan engines for not only Tf-X (29000lb class) but also Hürjet program (17000lb class) as well. Plenty of turbojet engines are being developed for different missile programs. Turkish institute has developed a 1500hp turboshaft from scratch and they are developing 3000hp version at present. I believe Turkey will have completed development of turbojet, turbofan and turboshaft engines within 10-14 years time scale.
