i recall reading on other sites that if USA was to go to war like Russia has done in Ukraine as it is now seen as a long war, that the Americans would not be able to sustain a war for more then a few months as Iran has shown, and that USA would probably go broke quite quickly i mean they would run out of missiles as had happened during Iran as Missiles have been pulled out of Korea or Japan. if other countries wanted to go to war with America they could do it and cripple the Americans badly.

Culture of lies costing the lives of Russian soldiers?

Source:

...online commentators are no longer just reporting on troop movements. They are directly challenging the official updates provided by top generals.

One Russian commentator went so far as to describe the constant stream of positive reports as part of a broader “culture of lies”, the ISW noted accoridng to O2.

This false optimism creates severe problems on the ground. When commanders draw up plans based on fake maps and imaginary victories, the soldiers on the front lines pay the ultimate price.

The internal revolt creates a major headache for Vladimir Putin. The Russian leader recently claimed that operations in the Donbas were going perfectly to plan.

He told the public that the Ukrainian army was struggling and losing ground, according to a report by TSN. But the reality in the trenches quickly exposed those claims.

For example, Putin recently declared that Russian forces controlled Sviatohirsk. Shortly after that speech, Ukrainian troops demonstrated full control over the exact same city.

What is clear is that the situation in the Donbas is unclear.

On September 1, Russian President Vladimir Putin proudly announced that his troops had captured the Ukrainian city of Sviatohirsk. Less than a week later, Putin’s claim came back to haunt him when Ukrainian commander Andriy Biletsky posted a video address recorded in the center of Sviatohirsk demonstrating that the city was still very much under Ukrainian control.

What interests me here is that there is misinformation. If directives are being given to the Russian military based on politicians holding a distorted picture of the military situation, that can only be a bad thing for Russian soldiers and increase their losses.

Or perhaps Putin is simply using his words in the press to compel Ukrainian troops to take certain actions on the battlefield. Just imagine that Ukrainian meatboys are being sent into заведомо disadvantageous positions simply because Putin said something.
