How many Siper batteries do we have at present, and how many will we have by the end of 2026 – is 6–7 a realistic figure?

What is the current status of Siper Block 2 – when will it be officially handed over to the armed forces?

This needs to happen faster... we need at least 12–14 active Siper batteries by 2027/28 to build up an AD/A2 Field and ensure the success of Mavi Vatan.

3 including the prototype that was delivered, maybe 4.

Probably won't happen.

The sources said Ukraine had imported a small number of Turkish-made Korkut air defence systems

The system is designed to counter first-person-view and tethered drones using 25-millimetre smart ammunition.

"Korkut has been pretty much successful in countering the Russian attacks,” one Ukrainian official told MEE

“There were of course some problems but nothing that couldn’t be overcome through some small adjustments.”

Korkut is reportedly operational in nine countries.

We should remember that both Aselsan and Roketsan were already building parts for the global Patriot fleet and was part of the ecosystem. Those all stopped in the last decade.
Supporting the rival product would be counterintuitive.

As mentioned above, Roketsan‘s and Aselsan’s Siper 2 missile systems with 150+km range and 30+ km altitude have started serial production runs. As deliverable quantities are reached they will become part of the TSK inventory.

Specific radars to operate with this missile are also being produced.
The anti ballistic missile version, Siper 3 and THAAD replacement Siper 4 are also in the pipeline.

Alp 310g and Akrep 1000 should be fine for Siper block 2. Also in case it gets confusing Siper A is terminal interceptor(pac 3mse) Siper 3 is very long range interceptor(sm6) and block 4 is exo/endoatmospheric interceptor (thaad)

How can be true ?
We have very low number of korkuts ourself abd no news that we continue to produce more ,
Or are u talking about Oerlikon 35mm which after modernized can be called korkuts ?
We have low number of Korkuts because we simply did not order them not for lack of capacity to produce them. They have explicitly been produced only for export for last 2 years or so

Korkut used to be the 35mm SPAAG. Now it's a whole family of systems. Any high velocity gun based mobile AA system by Aselsan is called a Korkut now. Those include the 35mm SPAAG on ACV-AD chassis(original Korkut), 35mm SPAAG on 8x8 AFV, 35mm towed gun system, 25mm anti drone system on 4x4 Ejder and 25mm anti drone system on a trailer.
35mm SPAAG - Korkut 150/35
35mm SPAAG on 8x8 AFV - Korkut 140/35
Towed 35mm - Korkut 130/35

Ejder based 25mm gun - Korkut 100/25
Towed 25mm gun - Korkut 130/25

Unlike the ACV-AD, which is a purpose built 30ton vehicle, 25mm Korkut is smaller, cheaper and is built on a Nurol Ejder, which is in production year around. We can guess that most of the Korkut users are using the 25mm variant. So far only Pakistan is confirmed to be a user of 35mm Korkut SPAAG on ACV-AD. We also read this year that Saudi, Qatar, Kuwait and Iraq have ordered and even received Korkut systems. Most of these are probably 25mm Ejder variants.

"Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron are holding talks on a major air defense agreement that could pave the way for the purchase and joint production in Turkey of the French-Italian SAMP/T Mamba system, Intelligence Online reported....

The negotiations are taking place despite recent moves by Paris that have demonstrated support for Turkey’s regional rivals, including the renewal of the France-Greece defense pact in April and Macron’s public backing of Armenia’s pro-European government in May.

At the same time, the potential SAMP/T agreement, along with the new partnership between Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar and French company Safran, indicates that Paris increasingly views Turkey as a key factor in European security, weapons production, air defense, energy routes and NATO planning amid weapons shortages, Russia’s war in Ukraine, instability in the Middle East and uncertainty surrounding future U.S. commitments to European security. | BGNES "
Looks like nothing has changed on the ever continuing SAMP/T negotiations with France since June per Greek media claims.

could also be 8x8 variants with otokar chassis because often they are the ones with aselsan systems first compared to FNSS or BMC and have been under development/testing for like two years i think if not more

I think towed korkut systems that are compact could be quite useful as anti-drone systems. But they need to be mobile so the caliber can't be too big imo.

Mainly because the fpv drones are small, agile and packs a punch. So either you need to pack the AD system in a lot of armor or make them small and compact enough not to be noticed easily.

There is no such thing against drones mate, thermal cameras are everywhere. Check the videos coming from Ukraine, both sides are spotting and hunting both small targets like ATVs or camouflaged targets like tanks or SPGs very easily.

Shoot and scoot is also dead because no vehicle is going to outrun drones. Only thing remaining is having enough firepower and perhaps more importantly ammo to take down drones before they get close. Because even though most videos show a tank or armoured vehicle being taken down with just 1 drone, it actually takes perhaps a dozen of them or more (obviously depending on the vehicle).

I mean realistically if your air base is in the range of enemy fpv drones there isn't much you can do except evacuate it. These are more for kamikaze drones and cruise missiles
