Ceramic coated barrel for the first time in Turkey was produced.

Fazıl Hızal, General Manager of Urban Defense:

“While we were working with electromagnetic guns, there were some problems with coating and rifling in barrel manufacturing in the defense industry.
When we saw these, we turned to barrel production and we wanted to achieve this with a method that is accepted as the 'technology of the future', unlike the classical methods. The idea of producing a ceramic coated barrel came into being after such a process.
One of the biggest problems for the Navy is corrosion. We completely prevented corrosion in the ceramic coated barrel.

We are working on different barrel diameters. Soon, our ceramic coated barrel applications will be subjected to real firing tests on platforms.
Fazil Hizal, said that Turkey's steel barrel of throwing this step and yields better results than chrome plating and abrasion resistance be expanded into a barrel, which is very high.

MKE is about to sign a contract for a coating technology that increases barrel life by 5-6 times. So the point is not what you think.
Correction: Barrel is not just the coating of the rifle barrels. Every kind of caliber you can think of is included.
They are about to make a deal with MKE. This is what I was talking about here.

Seriously they need to be keep these innovations up.

Does Turkey have enough sufficent supply of boron, tungsten and ceramic??

Remember in a war. Metal resources are just as important as the weapons, tactics and strategies itself.

Turkey produces half of the worlds yearly supply in Boron lol. 72% of worls known deposits are in Turkey

This is huge! Foreign dependency on this technology, no longer! Our big naval guns will be free of corrosion and all our artillery guns will be with more life. Well done.
Working on one tech opens avenues in another. This is the beauty of research and development.

I wonder how long the ceramic coating lasts with firings, before it needs to be recoated..

US army has carried out a test on the matter and has found it to be satisfactory. Although it does not answer your question, the tests have shown that the ceramic cover does not negatively affect the performance of the gun.
Other reports mention much longer usable life of ceramic covered guns.
Having searched the topic in some detail, what I can say is that as and when the ceramic covered barrel is worn, it is changed just like a conventional barrel and not recovered.
But as mentioned by Mr Hizal, the cost of manufacturing as well as the time of manufacturing the barrel is significantly reduced with a good amount of increase in life expectancy.
This is fantastic news!

Turkey has the largest deposits of Boron in the world.
There are big deposits of tungsten too. I know for a fact that there used to be a Wolfram (tungsten) mine in Uludag..
When it comes to ceramic, well the sand is the raw material.
Iron ores are in Divrigi/Sivas.
We have big Copper and aluminium deposits too. We are the second largest Chromium producing in the world.

Wish he was here to tell.... like where is the coating ?

You remember Otokar sold 110 million otokar vehicles to Uganda? Uganda is famous for Tungsten and Turkish politics in those areas where you get important metals..
