If they fear it will be copied then it’s likely an unreliable country. But if the said country orders other stuff, then we could consider it.

Probably Taiwan, they have been developing a male platform and suffered awhile with a western engine.

He might indicate some "other" countries, who is also meanwhile developing a male platform identical to Anka may try to steal or reverse engineer the engine-etc.

Would we gain anything from such a deal. Taiwan wouldn’t have any issue getting MQ9 from US, imo.

Prestige of selling an engine to a technologically advanced country which Turkey doesn't have strong politic ties. But duality between China/Taiwan could cause an issue there i don't know how they are going to resolve it. I don't know if it is going pave a way to further collaboration.

Imagine news going around and PD-170 /TEI name took a place in wikipedia page of a foreign platform.

Correct me if i am wrong MQ-9 is actually a high maintenance platform,Taiwan is developing a Male identical to Anka in terms of altitude and payload (if i am not wrong)

They tend to locally made weapons but meanwhile purchase some from US.

We cant sell shit to Taiwan. Government is currently deep in Chinese pockets. For the Vaccines, for all the swap deals with China to save our Central Bank and currency.

I don’t remember Taiwan as a nation that does reverse engineering on such scale, but it wouldn’t surprise me considering they wouldn’t do it to allies they rely on. Especially if our diplmatic relations are weak. It’d be a cinc to sacrifice it.

Perhaps Vestel or Baykar can offer karayel and TB2, both are private companies.

Pd170 is strategically significant engine with low specific fuel consumption and incredible altitude power of 130hp at 30kft. Something like pd155 could be better as export variant of pd class engines.
