Just imagine ... Out of consideratiom of ummah we are training the fighters . A credible and seasoned fighter for the liberation of juressalem . yeah i know it would come back and bite us in the ass later on but a man still can make a dream no ?? 😁
Fuck this one is the recipe to dig our own grave wkwk.

Same as what US did in Afghanistan in 80s. I'm ok with Ahmad Shah Massoud, but fuck the Azzam's MAK (Maktab Al Khidamat).

Badass!

There's an interesting contrast between sleek profile and "innocent-looks" of C295 with loads of missiles and bombs on its wings. Probably like a kitten with wolverine's claws

On a related note, as shown in the first picture, I really wish that our strategic SOEs are considering to license the Cirit missile from Turkey. It's basically a Hydra-style 70mm rocket with laser guidance so it's (rather) cheap but will be effective enough for many - if not most - ground and surface targets as well as adaptable to other launch platforms.

Although its name is somehow hilarious sounding for Indonesian ears, but its accuracy and lethality can make our enemies sh*t in their pants 😁

How is the progress of CN235 gunship at PT DI btw.

We are not allowed to have F35 but being allowed to buy F15EX( even without PAWSS) is still a surprise for me.

They still can't trust us which is understandable, we should also never completely trust them.

My God!!! to many salty comments about EPAWSS especially from "anti barat" and "Rusky fanboys"
Huh? Where? I'm not seeing salty comments neither "anti barat" or "Rusky fanboys" here... Unless you meant on Twitter, Facebook or elsewhere.

Some people just can't accept easily or even at all due to possibility that Su-35 won't be here and their favourite Sukhoi fighters' days are numbered.

Substitute EPAWSS with this.

This is good alternative. Qatar QEAF F-15QA and Saudi RSAF F-15S/SA use this.

This is the forecast for TEWS (ALQ-135), DEWS, and EPAWSS. The last updated TEWS is used by F-15K (Korea) and F-15SG (Singapore).

ALQ135.jpg

Saudi RSAF & Qatar QEAF will have more than 180 F-15 combined, so hopefully the DEWS is getting more advance update in the future.

This is the military sales notification for the QEAF F-15QA : https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2016/11/28/2016-28493/36b1-arms-sales-notification

Interesting quote : "The J&A document quoted the F-15 system program office as saying the EX will enjoy “90-95 percent commonality” with the F-15QA for Qatar."

That 5-10 percent difference is mostly because of the DEWS vs EPAWSS, I guess.

Ya, that's really cool. I just found that Dassault also made its own btw... The name is CATIA. I'm curious of what applications used by LM and Boeing.
Digital engineering mean most of the test & evaluation are done in computer simulation (wind tunnel test, future maintenance, etc), not just the design. Think of it like the "Kerbal Space Program" only far more advance

Ya... Like AutoCAD. So, we can put stress and see what is the effects to the structure that we made. Thats a really unsophisticated (less sophisticated) app than the one that used by Aircraft Industries for sure.

Indonesia's plan to purchase F-15EX, Rafale jets 'separate' from KF-X joint fighter development program: DAPA

22:54 February 20, 2021

SEOUL, Feb. 20 -- South Korea's arms procurement agency said Saturday that Indonesia's reported plan to purchase F-15EX jets from the U.S. defense giant, Boeing, and France's Rafale fighters is "separate" from a joint warplane development project between the two countries.

Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) made the comment after reports emerged that the Southeast Asian country plans to purchase the fighters between 2021 and 2024 amid speculation that it might want to quit the KF-X joint fighter development program with Korea.

"We assess that (Indonesia's purchase plan) is a matter separate from the KF-X joint development scheme," the DAPA said in a press release. "It is a move that Indonesia has already been seeking to boost Indonesia's Air Force power.

DAPA also noted that Indonesia has expressed its intention to continue to participate in the KF-X project.

"Through multiple working-level consultations, the two countries have been conducting negotiations in a mutually beneficial way," it said.

Read more:
Its mean Indonesia still haven't come with a viable solution to "exit" the KF-X program without paying hefty penalty.

Let face it, is it better to joining Boeing or Airbus as part of their global supply chain or chasing a pipe dream of this KF-X program of which we do not even have the supporting industries in the first place❓

How about making NATO style organization? Thats a really strong Deterrent Effect actually.
The South East Asia region is simply too 'politically diverse" for such an idea to be viable. Took example of Indonesia, how many countries in this region we had conflict or "conflict of interest" both current & historically❓ The same thing also goes for other country in the region

I've noticed some mislead comments regarding F-15EX in this thread, which most likely the result of reading too much 🇮🇩 alay media & sources. And further exacerbate by lack of English reading comprehension by the author of such media & their readers

First of all, the F-15EX is a new platform, which is NOT the same or an upgraded version of the legacy F-15. Saying the EX is an upgraded F-15 is a synonym of saying the Super Hornet is an upgraded Hornet
Although from the outside the EX look like another F-15, it is in the inside that truly made the difference. This is why Boeing had stated that all future sales of F-15 will be F-15EX, that because Boeing no longer produce legacy F-15

Regarding EPAWSS. The system is NOT available for export. Which mean, any other country that might buy the EX will also not be getting the EPAWSS. I seriously doubt even the 🇮🇱 will get the system if they ever buy the EX

To be honest i think even if they were granted by the US they still would prefer their own equivalent system to be installed not the US one . Nobody could disregard them when it comes to ECM and ECCM warfare experience and industrial capability .

Israel doesn't need them in the first place, as they usually put all of the Avionic system on their fighter by themselves. Literally, they just bought the platform, engine and some stuff but they are working the state of system by themselves. From all of the US allies only Israel who can get this special treatment because they can do it and most of their system is hand off from the other US allies

I am myself doesn't look favorably at Malaysia and Philippines when looking at their foreign policy maturity (not to mention most of their leadership is spineless when it come to push the shove), Vietnam is too much different from the rest about their logistic and standard weapon system, Thailand is no no they just put their Royal family continuity as the utmost priority WW II and Vietnam War is example of their diplomacy style

Saying the EX is an upgraded F-15 is a synonym of saying the Super Hornet is an upgraded Hornet
The comparison is a bit off though. F-15EX is a majorly upgraded F-15E but without much visible changes in outer appearance aside from adding an additional weapon hardpoint / pylon under each wing that can be installed when it's needed, new antenna on the top of left vertical stabilizer, EPAWSS sensors on both ends of the tail and few other minor changes.

Super Hornet, on the other hand, is a totally new airframe design developed from Hornet. Like Japan's Mitsubishi F-2 which was based on F-16. Both (Super Hornet and F-2) are visibly larger than their base models with various changes here and there.
