Just ask them, do Su35 have equal system?

Nope, Russians are well behind in this with their cumbersome SAP-14 pod and derivatives (use older 80s-90s version of DRFM tech still, and are noisy as hell opening up adversary option for ECCM)

India for example found them quite deficient (for MKI) and went with local design for RWR and israelis for dedicated pod (ELTA El/M-8222...uses much newer+upgradable DRFM)

@500 @UkroTurk @T-123456 @Cabatli_53 @Webslave @Test7 @Vergennes

Right now going forward (as direct consequence of this), India is developing own ASPJ pod and DCMAWS pod....as russian one is just not improving/competitive in this field:

Thus it is safe to say top tier NATO one like EPAWSS, would be one of best....far surpassing Russian one.

Extreme Russia-fanboys (like x-treme fanboys in general) are often... how shall we say, not very factually+logically-inclined.

As others mention though, it is unlikely EPAWSS will be available to Indonesian F-15 EX.

But indonesia can get some very good EPJ, MAWS etc anyway, they would have to scope and plan these things appropriately before they commit to something this year.

Yeah. It's not for export to any country. Not yet, hopefully. But some here in Indonesia still think that this only applies to F-15EX for us.

Bold: EXACTLY!!
And why bother it to much?
EPAWSS isn't the only thing that make F15 an EX.
There are still APG 82 AESA, ADCP 2, advance flight control, TDL 16, and even Targeting Pod (Another standard equipment these days that Russian fail to deliver!)

Well , just like SPECTRA does to the Rafale it goes with EPAWS for the F 15 EX too .. it was the branding themes .

Even far more closer than several Non NATO allies
Too early to tell, but those def lobby safari by mindef surely pointing on that direction. I do see the signs of us getting closer tho, and I do believe MoFa will try their best to get there. Lets just hope they dont get "takcled" from within 😁
Is it hard for us to get EPAWSS for EX ?
With todays dependency of EW it is understandable that they dont give us their latest one. Like you said there are other options/products to replace it. What worry me is when we use "budget issue" not to have it. One of the benefit of heavy fighter is their ability to carry more bigger/powerful radar and EW suites, if would be foolish not to put one in it (internally, not pod).

But as long as the Rafale have Spectra, well that makes me a happy man 😁

What is that "digital engineering" means? Like AutoCAD or Inventor for aircraft or something? If yes, that's awesome.

CATIA is some old stuff. IPTN (PT DI) have been using it since Suharto era.

Ya... Like AutoCAD. So, we can put stress and see what is the effects to the structure that we made. Thats a really unsophisticated (less sophisticated) app than the one that used by Aircraft Industries for sure.

Many local news said that MoD is targetting $20 bil foreign loan to meet the list. Let's see :

- Rafale (36) : $8 bil (ref India)
- F-15EX (15) : $3 bil (ref USAF + new platform)
- Airbus MRTT (2) : $0.6 bil (ref France)
- Osprey (4) : $1 bil (ref DSCA)
- Blackhawk (32) : $0.5 bil (ref the Philippines)
- C-130J (15) : $2.3 bil (ref the Philippines)
- Heavy frigate (16) : $5.7 bil (ref 30FFM deal)
- Scorpene (5) : $2.5 bil (ref India)
- TKMS 214 (4) : $1.6 bil (ref wiki)
- KSSI (2) : $0.7 bil (ref Nagapasa class)

For all of these alone we need $26 bil. Still plenty on the list left (GCI, KCR, UAV, coastal defense, etc).

We'll likely keep the number of fighters, so we'll probably reduce the number of C-130J, heavy frigate, TKMS 214, and KSSI.

We should aim for $30 bil foreign loan with our list :D

i've never seen that heli before, especially in the nose and air intake design, is that blackhawk?
I just knew what is that things in the intakes. That is just some "third party" stuff to filter dirts and sort of that.
And about stuff in the nose. Maybe small radar?

i think the nose just to store additional electronics and mounting for the flir not for radar
Ya, you right. That is not a radar but just a sensors (and according to video below, also connected to helmet mounted something (?) ).

Video below for closer look on the helicopter.

The writer is pessimistic about the maintenance, but it's understandable, I respect his opinion.

"That would present a major challenge to Indonesia. It already has difficulties maintaining the army’s eight sophisticated AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, which have been barely visible since they were delivered nearly three years ago."

And also, he also said about Predator drone.

"Known as unmanned aerial combat vehicles (UACVs), the Predators are a surprise addition to the shopping list, but Indonesia has been operating unarmed Chinese, Israeli and French-made surveillance drones for three years."

I will still hold about that Predator. We still don't have any "bocoran" at least about it, this one is the first time that said Predator is in the wish list.

Addition: And also I can found "error" a bit about, he said 3 C-130J instead of 15.

The leak about MQ-9 and MQ-1C was actually from the official TNI AD youtube channel.

Here take a look at 0.11 sec :
