Looks like Pashinyan has a lot of support from society and the police. If a coup was on the table, it has very little chance of succeeding.

The Prime Minister of Armenia is in a desperate situation in my opinion. The territorial integrity of Armenia is currently clearly supported by Russia. Armenia is a country 100% dependent on the great powers and especially on Putin. Armenia's mistake was to occupy recognized territories of Azerbaijan where historically it never belonged. In Greece they support the Armenians for geopolitical and religious reasons but historically and legally according to the UN in Nagorno-Karabakh there was an occupying army in foreign territory for 29 years. I think it is very likely that this defeat of Armenia will bring about political changes within it. The people of Armenia cannot digest this criminal policy pursued by the Armenian Governments all these years. A man who will have an anti-Western orientation will come to the government of Armenia because with Pashinyan the country was destroyed. What Armenia needs to do is have a stable geopolitical direction and governmental power in order to be able to develop economically and militarily by creating a domestic defense industry. But these things will certainly take several years to become a reality.

Armenia PM Nikol Pashinyan denounces 'attempted military coup'

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has warned of an "attempted military coup", after the country's armed forces said he and his cabinet must resign.
He was later seen marching with supporters in the capital Yerevan.
The army earlier said the prime minister was "no longer able to make reasonable decisions" after he sacked a top military commander.
Mr Pashinyan has faced mass protests after losing last year's conflict with Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh.
Nagorno-Karabakh is an enclave internationally recognised as part of Azerbaijan but which had been controlled by ethnic Armenians since a 1994 truce.
During the bloody six-weeks of fighting late last year, Azerbaijan not only recaptured areas around the enclave but also took the key town of Shusha inside it.
Under the Russian-brokered deal that emerged shortly afterwards, Azerbaijan keeps the areas it has captured. Hundreds of Russian peacekeepers are deployed in the disputed area.
