I mean we were talking about Nagorno Karabakh and what would happen in a potential Ukraine war and when I brought up how Azerbaijan only lost one and one was crashed on its own he just made a point by saying ''that is interesting, considering there were a lot more losses in Libya.''

I remember Haftar shooting on of their own Wing Loong 2 Chinese drones and thinking and presenting it as it was a Turkish drone and some controversies regarding how they carried the same downed drone to present it as other downed drones for propaganda.

There is no such way of acknowledging history. If anything this gives the vibe of ''I am an insecure artificial Arab tent state founded by European colonisers on a map so I desperately try to carve myself a history and here you see my autistic attempt on it''.

Republic of Turkey is a serious state. Child states do that. This picture is normal in Turkmenistan, not in Turkey.
This was a well rooted serious country but it has been a victim of old men's either islamist or wrong nationalist fantasies for the last 2 decades.
The worst thing Erdogan did to this country was to completely end the seriousness and turn the entire country to his lunapark. Lack of seriousness. Three words that perfectly capture the summary of Akp period. Lack of seriousness at everything! So this sight is an incredible example of this.

Ottoman Empire, Seldjuks and all the other turkic empires in the history are our ancestors, we TURKs are proud about them and our history also. There are also Turks, they believe TURKs are existing just since 1923, they have a problem with their ancestors, doesnt matter, its not important.
We TURKs know who we are. So my Arabic friend, dont worry, our history isnt in Erdogans patent.

Well, at least the military band in there can properly play the national anthems of guest countries ,so i don't concern about Erdogan likes to show off some historical uniforms as long as it is not ashaming. The band was there and will be there after him too, the uniforms neither costs much,nor causes a trouble except of being cringe.

Its not my problem what the persians, germans or arabs do or how they represent themselves. We TURKs are proud about our ancestor warriors, so its good for us to see that the goverment represents our history in this way.
