Iranians punch the air when you mention that Turks ruled them.Elites became persianised in a way but no they did not lose their Turkic culture they held onto it.
Elites were more into persian culture while the average Turk continued his life as a soldier in the Ghazmavid military most soldiers spoke Turkic while the rulers spoke Persian. Then again the Ghaznavid army was multi ethnic so I wonder how they communicated their multi ethnic army.
