For me Soryu is much better than Scorpane while scorpane offer a custom build the soryu offer is to give all of her best just as jmsdf have. And for the rest is let us wait and see what will happened😁🤭

Regard

Dump Scorpene and U214 plan, buy 12 Soryu instead.

Btw, in the past imperial Japan get their warships building technology directly from British Empire, they Made bulk order for several pre dreadnought and dreadnought class battleships directly from British Empire (Made In Barrow in Furness) and they subsequently learn more on how to build complex warships from the example they had and Transfer of technology. Indonesia actually never had and operated such complex weapon system, to own Iver Huitveld class and Fremm actually would be giving us opportunity to learn much of such complex weapon system.
Regarding Japan's warship technological advancement post 1868, it's related to some post I've written somewhere else:

In short, it was amazing. In only 30 years, they went from all wooden ships with construction not much different from when Tokugawa was still alive to producing their first full blown steel battleship with 300 mm cannons just a year after their victory at Tsushima strait.

Yeah but one should not forget, they paid a tonnes to get license agreement from British Empire, including technician, advisor and training in British shipyard before during the construction of Imperial Japan battleships before. Indonesia should do and emulate such strategy, including to get technology for supporting system.

though during Tokugawa era, they already build Chiyoda the first steam engine warships built in Japan, by the then Ishikawajima Heavy Industry (the same Ishikawajima aka IHI who later built Izumo class DDH, Kongo class DDG, Takanami class and among other)

if there's something that indonesia can seriously reap benefit from czech cooperation , that should be a tatra truck for TNI standarized military truck , but japanese auto company may probably upset with such case and try to intervene with political backing .
