Arunachal: MLA cites developments in China to make case for rail infra

This comes after a report that China is conducting final trials on its new high-speed railway line linking the capital of Tibet with a town opposite India's Tuting sector in the Upper Siang district.

Guwahati: Arunachal MLA Ninong Ering has written to Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal requesting him to increase railway infrastructure in the state, as China is speeding up the process of developing rail network near Arunachal.

This comes after Swarajya reported that China is conducting final trial of its new high-speed rail line linking Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, with Nyingchi, a town opposite India’s Tuting sector in the Upper Siang district of Arunachal, according to a Chinese journalist tweet.

Ering said, “If the railway-line is extended from Pasighat to Rupoi (Assam) via Tezu and Namsai, it will be easier for movement of armed/ defence forces, as I consider safety and security of our country is first.

Requesting the Union minister, he said, rail infra development in Pasighat should be taken up on priority “so that we can compete in development with our neighbourhood.”

It's foolhard trying to match China in infrastructure, India won't build high speed railway lines next to the Chinese border, building a high speed rail line on the top of the world biggest and highest mountain range, the Himalayas is a extremely difficult engineering challenge which no countries can take on now except for China.

Tibetan girl is soooo... excited to show you the first high speed raily system in Tibet, she goes to a small Tibetan county to show a almost finished HSR station which Tibetan bullet train will pass through end of June. 2021. She is extremely psyched and looking forward to it.

Why China builds bullet train system in sparsely populated Tibet which HSR is almost a sure loss of big money? Because the terrains in Tibet is so harsh and it's extremely difficult and dangerous for the people to move around in this region, now China built many highways reaching every corner of Tibet, but Tibet is huge, it still takes a lot of time driving from place to place, a HSR can greatly save people's traveling time and is a super convenient and affodable way of transportation for the locals.

The beginning of the video is the footage showing how engineers study the possible routes and feasibility to build a HSR in Tibet some years ago, the construction started in 2015, and now it is almost in operation, how time flies.

This Tibetan girl recalled that she used to say to her classmates that Tibet can never have high speed railway lines and bullet trains due to the impossible terrains a couple of years ago, and she never expected that she could turn out to be utterly wrong this fast.

India is already on road construction spree wait for few years more and you'll get shocked.

I m not nevous, it's your local official gets nevous and asks your government to help his region. We are always shocked by Indian speed in building anything.
