I have a question. Approximately how long would it take to derive a turboprop engine from the TS-1400? I assume there are no problems with financial resources and trained manpower.

There should be almost no foreign components left in the SOM missile, including electronic subcomponents. I believe that the localization rate, especially in electronic subcomponents, was achieved thanks to the gains from the Hisar HSS project.

I have no proof and this is all my own feeling. I feel that the South Koreans, just like the Germans, will feel ashamed when they buy anything other than ammunition from Türkiye. So I think that South Korea will not buy a sophisticated weapons system from Türkiye unless it is absolutely necessary.

    TR TF35000 Turbofan Engine

The President of the SSB, Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, recently announced that the engine will provide 36,000 lbf thrust. In other words, the fact that the engine will provide 36,000 lbf thrust is not actually an estimate, it is official information. If we make an estimate based on the P&W F119...

    TR TF35000 Turbofan Engine

I think it will be 26.000 lbf around dry thrust (115 kN) and 36.000 lbf wet thrust (160 kN).

    TR TF35000 Turbofan Engine

The interesting thing is that all the engines listed under "Products" on the company's website have the TEI prefix. However, the TF35000 turbofan engine does not have the TEI prefix. My conclusion from this is that TEI is not solely responsible for the development of the TF35000 turbofan engine.

    TR TF35000 Turbofan Engine

TEI has finally announced the TF35000 turbofan engine on companys official website. This information is not currently available on the English section of the website, but it will probably be posted there in the future. I am leaving the link and the translation of what is written...

The TEI TS-1400 engine is 20-30 kg heavier than the LHTEC CTS800 engine that was used as a basis when the project started. Because Western countries did not sell us the top notch super alloys that they used. We used super alloys that were lower quality but sold as "off the shelf" products. And...

What is the source of this information? As far as I know, the TS-1400 engine will be 20-30 kg heavier than the competitor engine, not 30-40 kg.

IMO, we have already passed that point in terms of domestic industrial infrastructure. I think we have become capable of not only designing a turbofan engine from scratch, but also producing it with domestic means down to the simplest bolt. We will no longer be stuck with a simple pump. If that...

    TR UAV/UCAV Programs | Anka - series | Kızılelma | TB - series

I think there are two possibilities: a) They are passing cold air around the engine to reduce the thermal signature of the engine and that gap is what is doing it. Or, b) They are planning to use a much larger engine in future versions and the engine bay is designed accordingly...
