probably same/similar range as Ground Launched Small Diameter Bomb, which has a range of 150kms

Previous newspiece about this, was all about the use of a Delta-V sounding rocket, to place the Tolun munition at such a distance and altitude that, it would negate the need to use an aircraft, hence not putting both the aircraft and the pilot in danger.

The smaller of the Delta-V rockets was able to put the missile at an altitude over 100km when launched vertically.
At an angled launch whereby 12-13km altitude is the limit and the launch speed is more moderate, the range of this rocket can easily be doubled, even tripled. After releasing Tolun at altitude, the winged munition should further travel a good 100km whilst gliding without propulsion.
This is in a way such a strategically important weapon that it’s real range will most likely be kept under wraps. We can only speculate.

Interesting, is that an RPG warhead equivalent? Looks different than the real photo below.

Loitering Munitions Will Have Different Capabilities

MKE Deputy General Manager Ümit Kıyak announced that, in light of recent global developments, they have rolled up their sleeves to produce a family of loitering munitions. Stating that they are working on a total of 5-6 types of munitions, Kıyak continued:

As you know, the biggest enemy of loitering munitions is jammers, which are also known as signal disruptors. First, we are developing a munition that will destroy these. You launch it into the air, and it attacks wherever it detects a signal.

After that, you can use your drone systems more freely on the battlefield. At this point, as MKE, we will produce three types of GPS-guided loitering munitions—short, medium, and long-range.”
Looks like the one in that picture from the test is the anti-jammer one.

I hope this (or other loitering munitions that are coming) evolve into something like:

Saturate the ever loving fuck out of the battlefield if necessary. And another version that could be put on a 4x4 would be nice as well, for mobility.
I looked up their ranges (e.g. HERO-400, 60 km) and i think it doesn't make sense to bring such a big quantity of drones, concentrated in one place, close to the enemy. One good hit and they are all gone.

Turkey is working on a Ramjet powered anti Ship Missile
Turkish Defence Agency is supposed to be the official mouthpiece of SSB (Defence Industry Presidency) .
It is embarrassing that they are using the picture of a Japanese Ramjet powered missile to give the news of the development of our own ramjet powered anti ship missile.

The mysterious Gökhan air-to-air missile that was mentioned years ago has still not materialised. Previous Tubitak-Sage director had mentioned that 100+ tests were carried out and that we should see the missile soon. But it seems that it is still few years before we can see it being used by our jets.

As opposed to Meteor missile that uses a solid fuel ramjet to propel it, our Gökhan will use a liquid-gel based ram jet motor that is probably similar to the one used in Brahmos. This should facilitate the development of an anti ship ramjet powered missile. That is the logical outcome after Gökhan becomes a reality.

The news shared by the news platform does not have an official source, as a result of my research, it is an unsourced news circulating on twitter.

The first question that should be asked is where is Gökhan ? Where is Akbaba ? Shouldn’t we finish these first before launching another project ? They always say ‘’ soon, soon, very very soon ’’, and then finally you realize it’s still many many years away from completion.

Actually he said something different. He refered to the Ramjet technology, not directly linked to Gökhan.
Gürcan Okumuş stated in our 18th Ağ-Centered Conversations broadcast that the necessary test infrastructure for ramjet tests at TÜBİTAK SAGE has been completed, saying:

"Right now, we are testing the ramjet with our own test infrastructure. Of course, there is still work to be done, but since we have this infrastructure, we’ve probably been able to conduct over 100 ignition tests so far. Without this infrastructure, we would have to do this under much more difficult and costly conditions. Turkey has made significant progress at this point. This is a pleasing development."

Bro, what you are saying is just semantics.
Gökhan was a development under wraps until when defence minister Akar in June 2021 uttered the word Gökhan.
Both Science Minister Varank and Gürcan Okumuş had since then stated in 2021 that there were many tests carried out on the ramjet engine, and we would see the missile prototype on an f16 the following year.

Those tests for ramjet propulsion were not done for anything else. But for the development of Gökhan. I remember Gürcan Okumuş saying that regarding Ramjet propulsion they were at a position to finalise it, and that their real target was now scramjet propulsion.

Will Roketsan make its own Ramjet for Akbaba? Or has it to be built diffrent because of different fuel types (gel-based vs solid)?
