Wait what? TurAF wants to use DENİZHAN for Air Defence? Also MKE will use that 35 mm revolver cannon we saw on the Enderus booth.

Systems Newly Added to TOLGA

MKE General Manager İlhami Keleş:

> “The AESA radar is TOLGA’s radar. With this AESA radar, it can be used day and night both for air targets and, through the optical tracking systems mounted on them, to lock onto PİRANA-type kamikaze systems from the command center. Because the optical systems include both night-vision and daytime cameras, targets can be locked onto there.

> The twin 20 mm guns began to be used specifically at the request of the Naval Forces. The guns fire 1,600 rounds per minute.

> We currently have an order volume of 31 units for the 76 mm naval gun. For this, we built a factory in Mamak dedicated solely to producing naval guns.

> For the Air Force, we will manage the 76 mm system through the TOLGA Operations Center using the AESA radar. Therefore, it will also become highly important in air defense.

> Firing tests of the 35 mm gun have also been completed. The gun actively participating in live firing on that line is the weapon on the stand of our subsidiary Enderus. It can fire 1,100 rounds per minute from a single barrel.

> Enfal-17 is a system managed by TOLGA. Enfal-17 is especially a threat to Shahed-type drones, stand-off munitions, attack helicopters, and all similar threats. In other words, it is a countermeasure against every type of aerial threat below 30,000 feet, and it is a very low-cost countermeasure.”

This feels like a misspeak especially when rest of the speech is all about ship air defence. He probably meant to say for air targets because using 76mm airbust ammunition for air defence on ships has been talked about for a long time and sctually make sense. I can't see any reason why Air force would want a 76mm gun for air defence

Nope, he clearly speaks about TurAF. Also he tries to explain how it will be integrated in the bases.

These would be non mobile permanent structures build into the ground. Also 31 guns how?
Delivered and ordered Together:
3+5 for I class
2+8 for hisar
1 for FAC
Not sure about exports

Yeah, I only read the given transcription before now after watching the whole interview he does speak about Air force specifically. It is an interesting choice I would think 35 mm would be a much more suitable option but there must be sone other considerations

According to SavunmaSanayiST interview with Ahmet Akyol Gürz that was presented in the Saha expo was not a prototype or Mock-up but the first serial production vehicle. It will enter both Air forces and Land Forces inventory

Part about Gürz starts at 4.14 and in 4.50 Ahmet Akyol says that they brought prototypes for earlier expos and now Brought first serial produced product to SAHA.

The one they brought is most likely the airforce variant much more capable and expensive but less mobile. Army will probably get the earlier variant. There is even a variant with GÖKBERK laser .

Advancing Türkiye's Air Defense: The Importance of Target Aircraft in the Development and Testing Processes of Modern Air and Missile Defense Systems

DELTAV
Besides that, we also have a need for supersonic target aircraft. Because the steel dome and its subcomponents are extremely critical and are being developed rapidly. These systems need targets moving at supersonic speeds. They need to be tracked by radar; there are many detailed aspects. In this sense, we think we can also use this RAMJet as a target drone.

A joint production agreement for the ASTER 30 Block 1NT missile for ballistic missile defense will be signed with France.

So that was the price: we’re helping them with the Baykar Drone’s logic...for FCAS.
Why we want use Safran Subsystems in the Turkish Drones for European Market....when Leonardo and even BAE Systems are available???? It makes no sense.

And i was wondering why we’re signing an MoU with France (Safran).
Ladies and Gentleman here is reason.

Aselsan has come up with many variants of its short to medium range air defense solutions.

I wonder if there will be truck based version of SIPER system. (Specially radars, power vehicles, and launchers) At least for export offering. Currently it is all trailer based.

Because for countries that relies more heavily on AD than fighter jets fleet for overall air defense/defensive counter air, rapid tactical mobility is a big thing.

This is where comparative systems like SAMP/T NG or HQ9BE has an advantage.
