With democrats sweeping both the senate and congress, I expect relations with the US to gradually deteriorate and I expect that lifting the CAATSA sanctions is nothing more than a pipe dream now.

Greek sources are already having a blast and I expect more pro-greek policies to start emerging

I still think that taking control of most of Syria was the best thing that Turkey managed to get during the Trump era; it was so bad that Israel itself had to step in

Deflecting blame for a midterm shellacking, President Trump now faces a grueling lame duck reality: endless subpoenas, legislative gridlock and a shrinking window to secure his legacy.

Losing Control of Congress: While losing some seats is common, completely losing legislative majorities happens less frequently. Notable examples of presidents losing control of both the House and Senate in a single midterm include George W. Bush in 2006 and Donald Trump in 2026. Other presidents have lost control of just one chamber, such as Barack Obama (who lost the House in 2010) and Joe Biden (who lost the House in 2022). [1, 2, 3, 4]
