The US military has no spare air defense munitions to give Ukraine. They are about to go all in on defending Israel.

Footage shows the destruction of five Ukrainian "Protector" heavy wheeled robotic vehicles by Russian FPV drones. The videos were recorded in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions, as well as in the Donbas. The "Protector" wheeled robotic system is manufactured by the company "Ukrainian Armored Vehicles" (Ukrainska Bronetekhnika) and was first unveiled in 2024. The "Protector" is quite large—essentially an unmanned vehicle. While it can be equipped with a turret, it is primarily used for transporting cargo weighing up to 1.5 tons; it has a top speed of 60 km/h and a range of 400 km. The unit is operated via a Starlink satellite connection.

The Ukrainian army has begun using pipelines to move individual military units. This practice was first employed by the Russian army. Judging by video footage, Ukrainian troops use a makeshift wheeled platform to travel inside the pipelines. According to media reports, this tactic has not yet proven successful.

Footage shows Russian Kh-101 cruise missiles striking the Prydniprovska Thermal Power Plant in the city of Dnipropetrovsk on October 3. The attack was carried out by a Tu-160M strategic bomber. Police Precinct No. 4 of the Dnipropetrovsk District Department was also hit; the destroyed building is shown at the end of the video. The Kh-101 missile has a range of up to 5,500 km and carries a 400 kg warhead.

While Russian casualty figures originating from Ukraine cannot be trusted, they may show a trend. Ukraine claims that Russian losses reached a new record of 2,250 23rd October and another new record of 2,500 1st November.

Why are Russian casualties apparently rising so much? Is Russia exposing troops to greater danger or is Russia exposing more troops to the same level of danger?

It sounds like something is changing things for the worse for Russian troops.
