Needless to say I'd think but here we are: There a schedules, milestones and to keep them at check penalties in these commercial contracts. Yeah, and he was one of the competent ones in his old party. Regardless, its save to say that the conspiracy theories about the Opposition killing the defence industry are nothing but conspiracy theories. Not that its going to stop conspiracy theorists from spreading BS, its what they do afterall.

I've been wondering for a long time if Ecotorq, the first Turkish engine in its class proudly developed in the country, would make it into the defence industry. Nice. Unrelated, but if Ali Koc could stop being a dick for a while, I would be really happy for Koc.

TR Altay Main Battle Tank & Related Programs

Good news, if we can finally start the production. But seems a bit expensive, the initial contract of 200m € comes down to 2m € per tank only for the transmission. The latter option would bring the costs significantly down, but still the initial contract is pretty steep pricing wise.

TR Altay Main Battle Tank & Related Programs

Valid question. We dont know if city and road planners in the 70-80s took into account that one day 65 ton tanks could be driving on them 30–40 years later. But there's a NATO classification just for that, so I assume that we know which bridges and tunnels can be used by what vehicles in times...

    TR Foreign Policy & Geopolitics

Yes I would say the same. Foreign policy is not something that should be dictated by the actions of some random guy burning whatever or saying whatever. Otherwise, in a world full of people that think like you do, I'll go and burn a German flag in front of the embassy in Kiev tomorrow and boom...

    TR Foreign Policy & Geopolitics

Getting outraged about irrelevant things in foreign policy (i.e. one individual burning a religious book), that's the perfect pre-election storm. Perfectly orchestrated thanks to Russia and the government by utilizing the situation.
  20. what

    TR Foreign Policy & Geopolitics

We've been way too soft on the Russians. Even now when they are weak and in need of any lifeline, we still dont give them what they deserve.
