S Band UMR/ERALP is not only used for long range detection but also guidence of Siper system. Mr. Sünnetçi mentioned this in his last LinkedIn post

You know what (kinda) works against those? Cope cages with integrated ERA :D People were joking about the "cope cages" but they have proven themselves to be a good counter against FPV dropped munitions and ones with ERA integrated work against RPG-riding FPVs

I wouldnt trust that Mason guy (honestly 9/10 it is BS) but yes jammers shouldnt be a big deal, given that Altay already sports 4x AESA radars for Akkor APS

jammers are already done. But a chain-gun like a M230LF is a better choice against the FPV's than a gatling gun

for the record, there is no programme in TUSAŞ to make KAAN AC/Naval based. Maybe 5-6 years later they would go on to design a new aircraft similar to KF-21 for the carrier but something actually stealth unlike KF-21

Just take a look between Altay in 2017 and 2023, you can see that they are similar but not the same. Major improvements on sensors, survavibility etc. And no, unmanned turrets are not a thing of today, no-one is adopting them apart from Russia if you count T-14 as in service

So you think Akkor is useless or that its armor was never tested?

I dont see any problems with Altay's that are performing the trial tests

That would be better suited for TF-2000s imo

Then there is something like SURALP, which uses the same architecture as Cenk-S but is a C-RAM radar. Either Cenk has much greater performance or SURALP doesnt really offer much detection range against R-A-M
