2 civilian Moroccan truck drivers got killed on their way into Mali. Would not be surprised if the Moroccan intelligence service DGED have its hand in the plot.
They are called Azawad in northern Mali, however recently they have started being interested in moving north. Who supports their activities is unknown for now, perhaps we will hear more about it in the near future..
They are called the people of Tuareg, a Berber tribe present in many of the Sahel countries. They also had operations in northern Mali. Maybe Morocco will start to play tricks and support them. Payback time? 🤔
June 5- Today marks the official launch of the 19th edition of #AfricanLion23 exercise, U.S. Africa Command's largest, premier, annual combined, joint exercise in the African continent.
Yeah, i realized that they only have 16 VLS in a quad-packed configuration. Heavy frigates/destroyers like the TF-2000 with its 64 vls, or the horizon class of the Italian navy with its 48 vls are much lighter than the German F126.
How many vls will the Indonesian arrowhead 140 carry?
I dont know why Damen has not made a product catalog of the Omega design. But the German F126 is present on their website. As I mentioned earlier the Sigma 12516 seems very similar to the design of the Omega however it carries even more punch than the Omega even if the Omega is heavier by at...
Is the F126 frigate an extended omega frigate? Since I remember that the first Omega frigate was reportedly to be around 6000 tons with 24 vls. The german F126 is a 10 000 ton destroyer.
Do you have any more information regarding the Omega frigate, and what configuration they offered to Indonesia? Nice!! I hope Indonesia got the Aster 30 on their FREMM. It makes me laugh when I see that the Moroccan FREMM only operates aster 15 on such a huge frigate. What's the configuration of...
I read that the OMEGA frigate was offered to Indonesia a while ago. What happened with the project? I can't find any information regarding the OMEGA frigate on the Damens official website however I find an older picture from last year that @JATOSINT took. It looks really similar to the SIGMA...
Very similar to the Moroccan approach that we learned from past experiences. Understandable that Indonesia is operating fighter jets from the US, France, South Korea, and Russia.
Logistical nightmare... That's also of course one of the options, and it seems to me that the leadership is heading this way. I have not followed the development in the news regarding Indonesia however I know that the leadership loves diversification. The F16 and the EX could use the same...
Indeed I would go for the EX over the F4 however Indonesia has already procured the F4. Upgrading the current F16 to block 70/72, while adding more f16 would be ideal. Later more F4 can get procured if the Indonesian leadership found it feasible.
I'm not claiming that the F4 is superior to the EX however it's a twin-engine fighter with a good amount of range and payload. Basically, it serves the same mission profile..
