Nope,the J10 is good enough for countries not able or allowed to buy Western fighters. We already have the F-16 which is better,so why go backward instead of forward?

Why not,name a situation in which we would need new Fighter jets? If we didnt have a mature defence industry which can compensate for the lack of fighter jets like Pakistan,Egypt,Greece etc you would be right but we are not such a country.
